Okay, so I'll preface this by saying, I've experienced the same Apple Music issues that have been reported a lot on here (iCloud Music Library messed with my library so much, I ultimately turned the feature off and restored an old library, which has fixed most things...but I'm still having issues).

So, I'm thinking maybe I should completely rebuild my entire music library from the ground up, simply by "downloading for offline listening" all the songs/albums I currently have in my library in Apple Music format (yes, I'm aware it would include DRM, but I just want my music library to work again so I can accept this). I'm hoping that this way iCloud Music Library doesn't just start replacing songs/artwork with incorrect data and maybe it will also stop removing songs randomly and I can start to take advantage of all the features that was supposed to come from Apple Music. But I do have some questions about this:

1) Using a script, can I manually re-enter play counts for Apple Music tracks? (Maybe I just have to give up on this, but I've always enjoyed being able to see what songs I've listened to the most. Last.fm doesn't seem to scrobble "streamed" tracks in Apple Music, so I don't think that's an option for me.)

2) If I download songs for "offline" listening on iTunes on my Mac, will those songs sync over to my iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch? Or do I have to download every song again on each device?

3) Are the DRM tracks from Apple Music downloaded for offline listening still useable in iMovie or Final Cut? Or would I need the DRM-free tracks to make that work?

Has anyone done this and seen success? Or do the issues just reappear? Honestly, this is the first time an Apple update has made me wish I could easily revert back to iOS 8.3 and the previous iTunes software to remove all the bugs Apple Music has brought to my library.
