I really wish Apple would come up with something for us old iPod touch owners, wish they would go the way android has gone and maybe let us download the music app through the app store.

They quit supporting the iPT 4th Gen at iOS 7. Also with the recent release of the new batch of iPT 6th Gen, they want people to upgrade. Which is what I did, the best upgrade I've done in a while. The battery on my older iPT 4th was horrible too. It's had thousands of recharges though!
You would be correct I think the final version was like 6.16 or something like that. Thanks for the correction!
