Apple Music trial: linked to account or serial number?

Hi,

Do you know if the trial of Apple Music is only linked to the Apple id, or is linked to the serial number of the device?

One device = one serial number = one trial?

Or if i sell my iPhone the new owner can obtain a new trial?

It is both but you can have up to 5 (or is it 10) devices linked to one account. However you can only play one at a time (unless you buy the Family Plan). If you sell your iDevice you of course should cut off Find My iPhone and remove it from your iCloud account or iTunes then restore to factory settings. The new owner can then have their own trial using their Apple ID.
