Awesome, very excited to try this out. Spotify's Discover Weekly is a big draw for me, so if Apple's version is on par with DW then I will be very satisfied.

Mine also was spot on. Great job Apple's AI!!!! It updates once a week. I'm curious to see how it changes

If everyone here has positive feedback, I wonder, does Apple uses their previous "genius mix" feature to curate the playlist? If so then it is not hard to understand why they are so welcoming.
Non-AM user cannot even check it though.

Still not enough to draw me away from Google Play Music and YouTube Red for the same price. But from the sounds of it, the new curated lists are working out well which is a good thing.

Can you tell GPM to play the top hits from 2005, or the latest Arcade Fire album without turning on your iPhone? Or do you use Android? In which case I would understand your preference.

Because to me, all of these services are very similar and the main benefits come from integration with the platform. If Apple opens up Siri to music, that may change, but for now, I see no reason for an Apple user to be using anything else but AM, especially with iOS 10.

And yet, somehow, it's not possible to simply share a playlist with a friend. Or is it?

If that friend also uses Apple Music, absolutely. From the Share button you can send a link via iMessage, email, Facebook, copy it to the clipboard. Do whatever you like with it. But if someone who doesn't subscribe opens the link they'll just be prompted to subscribe. They may able to see the tracklist though?

My playlist is wildly off, just terrible. Oh well
Have you been going in to songs you do like and "hearting" them( liking them )?

Could also possibly do a screenshot and share sheet it if that don't work.

Is it known yet, if the Apple Music-app on older devices that can't run iOS 10 will be updated with the new UI and changes? Or is the new AM just for those with iOS 10?

Sad we couldn't gain access to the lost flexibility of the 8.3 and earlier music app, alongside the functionality of things like up next and the minimising now playing screen.

The key to your post is where you say "Because to me." That is your preference and opinion, just as my preference is to stay with GPM + YouTube Red for the same price. Is it conceivable that my preferences may be different than yours and that I find better value and desirability in GPM vs. AM?

Nope.

NO!!! Don't be ridiculous, you must like the same as anyone who uses an Apple product. How dare you take the liberty of being a staff member of all things and using a non-Apple product.

What the hell do you think your doing, is this some kind of damn hippy freedom of choice nonsense your trying to pull? Do you have an opinion and mind of your own. What the hell. There's no place for that kind of thing here don't you know who we are, get off my lawn!! Go on, leg it before I set the hounds of Appleville on you.

Honestly, the nerve of some people, come round here telling us they can think for themselves. For gods sake what's the world coming to.

:p

Because to me, you doth protest too much. Possibly you saw something in his post that wasn't there.

I thought the key to my post was where I said the services are all very similar and the real advantage comes from integration with the platform. ;)

Seriously, I honestly don't care what you like but I was curious as to WHY you felt that way. Is it conceivable that our preferences and opinions are based on limited knowledge and experience and therefore some opinions are not as valid as other opinions?

My New Music Mix contains all-new music from artists that the Apple Music curators have picked based on each user's listening habits, and updates with new options every Friday.

sorry but saying the new music playlist is hand curated is just BS PR. there are millions of users, it's impossible. it's no more fancy than spotify.

It's very good at suggesting the music I hate that my wife plays over and over on my phone in the car... ;) she is very pleased with MY Apple Music custom playlist filled with shania twain and Celine dion.

LOL. Yeah, what the other guy said...upgrade to the family plan. Not having to hear Shania Twain or Celine Dion is worth at least an extra $5/month. Heck, it's worth way more than that, but...
[doublepost=1473037814][/doublepost]I'm already learning about tons of great new music via radio stations based on an artist or song. I created one radio station from a single Kings of Convenience track on a 2 hour road trip, and I must have added over 2 dozen new artists to my music. These new curated playlists will be icing on the cake...

I tried this feature on my Apple TV. I must say it is a nice addition. I'm definitely about it. It's pretty good and gives me a good mix of the music I like to hear. I can't wait to dive into this feature more.

It recommended a whole bunch of rap songs to me and I never listen to rap and I hate rap :(

I like it, some great music suggestions that I've added to my library. Now what Apple really needs to do is add a button to the lock screen for adding music to your library - having to unlock my phone every time is a bit of a drag.
