Guess what issue is still happening! It's like there is no defeating it 😂

Again, it's not a huge issue as you can just get enough distance from the phone or turn it off and then the music transfers to the watch, but it's still annoying!

Anyone got any other ideas I might not have tried to fix?

It got me thinking, could this be the intended the behaviour by Apple? To not let you listen on watch if your iphone is active and nearby?

Thanks!

Just got my watch and set it up yesterday (S9 45mm). It’s a cellualr model and I was able to play music from my watch to either headphones or bluetooth speakers.

-no music playing on the iPhone lock screen
-opening up the music on the iPhone shows it is not playing
-turn the iPhone off and the music keeps playing.

It is a cellular model (reason I got that is that I’m a dialysis patient living in a very rural area not particularly near to a hospiyal) that I didn’t have any problem setting up. I find setting up the AW to be the way you like it is a bit fidgety, but it’s a gentle learning curve.

This is also happening to me too. I use downloaded music
for bike rides and the gym and it defaults to the phone each
time even though I leave my phone behind. It's like they
removed the option to select my headphones which is just
absolutely idiotic. Sometimes Apple does dumb things and
this is one of those times. Worked perfect before Watch OS10.
