Apple Music vs YT music

Are the output quality the same for both Apple Music and YouTube Music? Seems like when I stream Apple Music in my car the quality drops compare to my usb stick. I haven’t tried it with the phone plugged into USB port and playing Apple Music- not sure if that makes a difference.
