With the initial 3-month trial ending in about 25 days, I thought we could share what features we want to see from Apple.

My #1 wish list feature is being notified for those artists I follow when a new album is being released. Twice today, I visited the artist's section in AM and saw a new album in pre-release status with one or two tracks available. So I had to post a reminder to check back next week to listen to the entire album. Can it be so hard to include this feature?

1. Multi-room Airplay from Apple Music via iOS without a computer would be my #1 request. If the Whaale app can do it with several services, then Apple Music should be able to do it, too.

I have about 20 things on my wishlist that I have written about on my website (sorry, I don't have the time to look up the link). However, this would be first on my list.

1.) add a "go to artist" and "go to album" menu item.

2.) let me create a new playlist directly from the "add to playlist" menu item.

3.) bring the album art down just below the top status bar. There's plenty of free space on the screen so the album art can be free of extra litter on it.

4.) get a web player going!

5.) clean up the bugs. Random stopping of music, getting stuck downloading music, doubling of songs on offline albums, volume drop after a notification, etc.

6.) fix all the ongoing weirdness with iCloud Music Library syncing, missing artwork, changed artwork, etc

No 1 for me - let me play downloaded songs when I'm out of wifi and 3G/4G cellular signals (most places round here).
Currently downloaded songs are sometimes greyed out when the signal is lost, l'm convinced that Apple Music sometimes 'phones home' to check that the account is valid, if it can't through because of a lack of signsl it disables downloaded songs.

No2 - dont include all playlist songs/artists in My Music as well, keep them as playlists only.

Larger playlists (more than 16 tracks), AirPlay ability for music videos, full screen support of music videos on iPad Air 2.

Larger playlists? I assume you mean the curated ones. I have a smart playlist that has over 1000 tracks.

For your #1 on the list you can do this already.

In the full screen player (the one you wish had the album art move down from the status bar.) On the very bottom right corner tap the three dots.

In the pop up menu tap the small album art at the top (in iOS 9 it's much cleaner and larger.) It takes you to the album of whatever song is playing.

From there to get to artist you can tap the artist name when viewing the album/track list. (It will be artist name with a ">" after it.)

This is know, but it doesn't always work. It frequently does nothing but take me to a different screen, or takes me to an unknown artist page that is blank.

Even if it worked 100% of the time, it's a little clunky. Every other music streaming service uses the same Go To Artist and Go To Album shortcuts for a reason. They are very useful, quick, and intuitive.

Thanks though for sharing that for anyone who doesn't yet know that is there. Hopefully they will improve this soon.

To completely reset the 'For You' section. I don't want the last 15 years of purchased iTunes music and ripped CD's to determine what I like now.

my number #1 wish is Apple gets their heads out of the clouds, and fix up deleting songs from playlists and across devices.. 22 days and counting, although i hope it's before then...

"For You" hasn't given me anything new* for three days now. I guess that's revenge for me checking four times if I DEFINITELY don't have automatic renewal on.

* Well, technically For You has hardly given me anything new, but "fka twigs: influences" really isn't interesting enough to keep me occupied for three days.

I'll repeat what I said before: For You should mine my data like there's no tomorrow. Playcounts; last played dates; most played songs; most played acts. Then grow from there. Not suggest me albums I played yesterday. (This happened.) Not suggest me albums I wouldn't listen to unless held at gunpoint. (Celine Dion, I'm looking at you from safe distance.) Not give me "Introduction to Pet Shop Boys" when I have every album, compilation, single of theirs in my library, supplemented with live recordings, demoes and bootlegs. Basically I'd like Apple to snatch whoever it is who created Spotify's Discover Weekly, fire the entire human curation team and put Discover Weekly in AM.

SAFE iCloud integration. Everything else can wait but this can't.

This really. I want to use the service. It's only messed up my music library and has yet to be something I can actually use. Right now, Apple Music is a glorified streaming service for me that I cannot integrate into my current library. In 25 days, I'll be able to do the same thing with Spotify for free.

Well For You has been repeating suggestions for a few weeks now (for me). I like the curated idea but it seems like they are just repeating over and over again. I tried listening to radio stations again, hearting songs, hoping for some new playlists/suggestions. I too like Spotify's discovery list but not sure what's the best way to discover new stuff.

In regards to the Go to Album / Go to Artist shortcuts, they made a nice improvement in iOS 9 where the little > symbol takes you to the album info (and it seems to be working 100% of the time). I'll consider that request fulfilled.

They still need a Web player. That's a big deal breaker for me right now and one of the big reasons I'm sticking with Google Music.

I'm also pretty amazed they still haven't added the ability to create a new playlist directly from a song's menu.

I'm not sure how this works. The screen looks like you are in the For You section. Maybe you can explain it so we know how the shortcut works.

Whenever you are playing a song, find the ... Next to the song title. Hit it. Then you'll the dialog that's in the screen shot. It looks very polished in iOS 9.

Aah the light bulb goes on..... I was in the full screen when the song is playing. You have to be on the previous screen.

I think a larger playlist is only the icing in the cake.... Now u'll have more issues, not less.

I'd like to think Apple music was positive, but i still have to agree with what Jobs said back in the day where he didn't want Apple to have a music streaming service... He must of for-sore all this was going to happen

What a smart cookie he was. :D

Some consistent problems that are holding me back from AM based on tons of posts:

  • Allow offline music download and old fashioned sync to my ipod via lightning cable without icloud music library. iTunes could still phone home to verify subscription.
  • Alternately, fix icloud music library so it doesn't mess with tags, album art, duplicate songs, explicit songs etc.
  • Allow more than 25,000 songs in icloud music library
  • Fix the Music ios app so it doesn't go to shuffle play if I even look at the up next list
  • Support Smart Playlists including nesting, playcounts, ratings as in current lightning cable sync world
