One of the hardest things for me is finding new music I actually like. Even listening to my favorite artists new albums sometimes there are only 1 or 2 songs that are worth listening to. Curated playlists like this, if populated with music that the user will actually like, could be a big reason to get an Apple Music subscription.

Not only new ones but classics you have to precise when searching which bothers me I wish they could get deeper with sub-genres especially with Electronic/Dance genre not everyone likes EDM or POP music. Not everyone listens to Mainstream even though Mainstream is the majority because radio play.

You're right, but Spotify does it 10x better and has been for a while now. This is the main reason I can't switch to Apple Music.

I've been listening to My New Music Mix since the iOS 10 beta last September, and I gotta say it's impressive. I've found new songs, entire albums, and artists on a really consistent basis that have all become mainstays in my main playlists.

On the other hand, My Favorites Mix is hilariously inconsistent for me. Like, I listened to "Can't Stop The Feeling!" once or twice, and it's appeared in Favorites multiple times throughout the year.

I second this. Have discovered many good new music that I really like through new music mix and found favorite mix useless (using Library and Playlists instead).

Instead of liking individual tracks, try setting up a smart playlist on iTunes. Let the filter say "if I've listened to a song more than, say 10 times, "love" the song on Apple Music. Doing so could teach Apple Music 1,000's of songs you actually do like. That may help with future suggestions of what you do like.

That sounds like a great idea and I'd like to do that but I don't know how. Could you please tell me what rules you set in the playlist, because I see options for plays and loved but no way to set it to IF X plays THEN love.

I still don't have this, is it appearing for more people yet or still just a few?

I only had it on iOS devices for a couple of weeks, it appeared on iTunes for me yesterday, then an hour or so later disappeared off all my devices and hasn't returned. Which is decidedly not chilled.

Edit: It seems to appear, then disappear at seemingly random intervals.

I was on the verge of going back to Spotify because of the music discoverability features. Now, I want to stay with Apple Music. My New Music Mix was garbage. During the last 8 months of "listening" to it every week, I added 2 songs to my library. In contrast, I added 17 of the 24 songs I got in my first time listening to the Chill mix.
I hope this mix can keep up with this initial impression.
