can someone explain the whole mail situation with i cloud? I know mobile me is done with, but what will come of mail. I guess if I'm using Gmail i wouldn't need my mail on iCloud in the first place. Why doesn't Apple just create its own mail client like Gmail or Hotmail?? i mean.. it makes sense.. doesn't it?

Just sign up for an iCloud account; it comes with a .me email address for free..... I'm not sure what you are on about mate???

Umm, Apple has Mail on OS X, Mail on iOS, and webmail at icloud.com. Technically, that's more mail clients than the services you listed. Methinks you must either be trolling or really uninformed.

That would make a lot of sense! I wonder why you're the first person to think of it?

They should use this as an icon:

It would look great! Maybe it'll be called... hmm... Mail.app?

im so confused. Can you give me an example of an apple email address.
and not " @me.com" cus thats done with

MobileMe the service is done with. @me.com email addresses are not done with. You can receive email at an @me.com email address through iCloud.

When you set up iCloud, you get a free me.com email account. iCloud automatically pushes new email messages to all your devices, so your inbox is up to date everywhere you check it.

so u can still create an @me account? and is that the official apple email? like for example, google has gmail

We're not going to get @apple.com addresses if that's what you're looking for.

Quite frankly I hope we never see @icloud.com accounts!

That said, I like my @mac.com account ;)

More like you assume yes.

I really doubt that they will cancel existing email addresses, that would be a bad move. They could however start using a new address like @icloud.com for new uses.

What I meant by my answer was that it was not going away as part of the MobileMe shutdown, which is mostly the topic of this thread (if there really is a topic).
