What transition? That doesn’t make sense!
That’s what you think. I’m sure those who rushed out to buy those $550 AirPods Max will also be reserving/preordering an Apple Car regardless of who produces it.
It would be no different that Samsung or LG manufacturing iPhone parts, it will still be an Apple designed and materials car. Apple doesn't even manufacture their own iPhones, this would be no different.I read the headline and just thought, “lol”.
Apple really can’t love them talking about this. I have to wonder if they’re in the running anymore.
Apple is planning to work with Hyundai on the upcoming Apple Car, according to a report from Korean site Korea Economic Daily.

The report suggests that Apple is in negotiations with Hyundai Motor Group to manufacture an Apple Car. Apple is said to be planning to work with Hyundai to produce electric vehicles and develop batteries due to the "enormous costs" of the technology and the necessary production facilities.
Multiple prior rumors have suggested that Apple will work with a manufacturing partner to produce the Apple Car, but until now, there hasn't been word on which manufacturer Apple might team up with. Since the report mentions "negotiations," a deal may not be established as of yet, so Apple's plans could change.
An Apple Car report earlier today from Bloomberg said that work on the project is still in the early stages and "nowhere near production stage," nor was there a mention of Hyundai. According to Bloomberg, it will be at least five to seven years before an Apple Car is ready to launch.
Update: In a statement to CNBC, Hyundai confirmed that it is in discussions with Apple. "We understand that Apple is in discussion with a variety of global automakers, including Hyundai Motor. As the discussion is at its early stage, nothing has been decided."

I'd agree, they both have made good strides. The Stinger is nice.I have a 2019 Kia Stinger GT2. I love it. I give Kia/Hyundai/Genesis high praise for the strides they made over the last decade.
I did not know- thanks! My predictions are so clever they come true in the past.Hyundai already has a luxury brand: Genesis.
I ran into that with a cell phone I owned decades ago. I finally, from the manufacturer, got the news that the reseller of that model phone 'chose to disable that function'. Oh, really? How could you let them do that? 'Resellers negotiate contract with us to outfit the phones they supply to their users in the way they want. They pay a fee to allow for certain functions to be disabled by us prior to shipping. Disabled features can not be enabled by the consumer. It is at the discretion of the reseller.' Oh, really... So, one of the better functions of the phone is disabled, and because they paid you to cripple the phone, you DID IT? And if I lived in Europe, I would have a phone with that feature enabled? Wow... Thanks. I hope they paid a lot for that. Good grief...
That was what maid me wonder why Apple signed an exclusive agreement with AT&T for the first iPhone. AT&T was the reseller that crippled the damn phone I had!!!
Yeah, that really is odd that they said that. They really should have gone with the "we are always talking with other companies to expand our business." Specifying Apple... Not sure who that is good for.Well no way Apple uses Hyundai after Hyundai talks publicly about it.

I just got a 2020 Niro for my business last month. I'm liking it much more than I thought I would. I don't care about the logo. It practically drives itself with the stop and go cruise control and lane keeping. I'll probably get a Tesla later this year for myself but they do make an all electric Niro.Have a Kia Niro and I like it. Worst thing about it are some of the cheap materials used in the cabin and the atrocious KIA logo. Learned yesterday that they’re finally getting rid of that logo and replacing it with a really sleek one.
