iPhone Apple News app not installed on iPhone 6s Plus 9.1 - Why?

I've just done a fresh install of IO 9.1 on my iPhone 6s Plus and for some reason the Apple News app hasn't installed.

Why?

I'm from the UK - does that make a difference?

Hmmm. Well, they only advertise it for the US on the main site. Are you using US as your region or UK? The answer could help the OP.

As a test, I've just set the region to US on my iPhone and the news app appears, I've then set my region back to the UK and the news app is still there and works fine - weird

im happy to have no news app. podcast, find my friends, find my phone, Game Center, watch app, contacts, weather, stocks and tipps are enough force apps.

9.1 introduces it for Australia and I'd presume UK too. I've got it now. Try use Spotlight search in case it's lost amongst your other apps if you're in Australia or the UK. 😛

I have it in the UK too. I also have my region set to UK.
