Apple soon to release a re-design of the Mac Pro with entirely new chasis. The new enclosure will have better airflow and quietness of the famous Mac Pro! All new sexy entire aluminum chassis.

i hope Apple doesnt resign the Mac Pro like this it looks awful. also ive seen the front of that enclosure before on a PC that tried to look like a Mac Pro but failed.

That is DAMN ugly. Awful design - nothing like a Mac Pro should be. Nothing like what :apple: can come up with.

Looks like a Lian-Li case photoshop'd and crossed with part of the mac pro case. That's one ugly off-spring...

LOL!

That's a good one Neonguy! I needed this after a stressful day. Thanks!

(now when will my new MP be shipping?)

Me thinks that's fake....

I have a feeling that this might be a fake, when we have this box with the same picture of the "new mac pro" on it, at a PC shop I work at!

Fake Mac

Fake Mac 1

Oh, and hi by the way, i'm new.

Well, there goes my lunch!

Thanks to you, my diet plan is working fine! ;)

Thanks for the laugh! Almost made me spill my coffee!

That case is simply FUGLY. Reminds me of some of the beater cars with a huge whale tail/spoiler bolted on the rear.

I cannot, for the life of me, figure out why there are more than 3 external drive bays on this thing...

The top to drive bays are fine, not as elegant as a mac pro, but at least you can push the button and they will open, even if the OS hasn't given you permission to eject you disc.

The two below that can't have many good applications. I guess you could put a large fan controller in one, and if you have the higher-end Audigy sound card, you could put that front panel thing in the other, but those are really uncommon things.

The only useful 3.5 inch application is a card reader. why 3 of them here?

I also wonder if the handles can be removed. That's one of my biggest gripes with the mac pro case: I haven't moved this thing since I got it. Not once have I actually picked it up off of the ground. And yet it had a good inch and a half of "dead space" that it takes up vertically for no good reason at all. I have heard of people who had to take a dremel to their g5/mac pro case so it would fit in their desk space.

i actually like the 3 extra holes on the bottom, but other than that, it looks awful.

If you would like a full spec it's and more pics of it's "pre-photoshop'd" glory it's here, it's got loads of fugly blue lights too.
