Apple today added refurbished iPad mini 6 and 2021 iPad Pro models to its online refurbished store, offering the tablets at a discounted price for the first time.

Pricing on the iPad mini 6 starts at $419 for the 64GB model, an $80 discount off of the original $499 starting price tag. Apple is offering multiple color options, with a 256GB model also available for $549, a $100 discount.

The iPad mini 6 initially came out in September 2021, and it features an edge-to-edge display and iPad Air-like design with Touch ID power button. It measures in at 7.9 inches and is Apple's smallest tablet option.

Pricing on the refurbished third-generation 11-inch iPad Pro starts at $639 for 128GB of storage, while pricing on the fifth-generation 12.9-inch iPad Pro starts at $889, also for 128GB of storage. Space Gray and Silver color options are available, and there are higher storage tiers and cellular iPad Pro models at discounted prices as well.

The 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models that Apple added to the refurbished store today were initially introduced in 2021 and they feature prior-generation M1 chips. Apple in October 2022 refreshed the iPad Pro lineup, introducing M2 chips.

Supplies of the refurbished iPad models will shift over time as Apple adds new devices and as devices sell out, so those wanting a specific configuration or color may want to check back often.

Refurbished products from Apple are almost identical to new products, and are subject to a refurbishment process that includes full functionality testing. Refurbished products are eligible for AppleCare+ and have the same 14-day return period as new Apple devices.

(Thanks, Dave!)

Jelly Scroll is real but good that you don't notice it. I do... but don't care that I do. The many benefits outweigh the few shortcomings.

Mini 6 is my most-used Apple device and I'm about Apple everything. Mine even stands in as my phone too (voip app + buds on a cellular model)... just like the Mini 2 did before it. By the time Apple obsoletes it with OS updates, I'll likely jump right on Mini 9 or 10 for my next one.

Not that good of a deal for 11 inch iPad m1

They were on sale $550 at target over the holidays a couple of times.

I got m2 iPad at military store sale in December for $599 as well.

If anyone considering a refurbished iPad mini 6, but worried about Jelly Scroll,
It's not real. I never notice it even in slow motion...

I daily drive it and scroll quite a bit in both orientations.

You are completely correct.

I wish the MR crew would censor jelly scroll out of these forums. It's annoying seeing the FUD.

I got a Mini (64GB no cellular) for ONE reason; not usability, not for hype, but to start my transition to all USB C and also for the iPadOS files function. Period. A few dongles with SD card and HDMI and ethernet connections that can migrate to an M2 Mac mini so at some point can integrate ADP. The mini is pretty good with decent audio/speakers for travel. Way better than iPhone. But for me its advanced FILES functionality is key - truly groundbreaking power that lets me use I/O that works with MB Air and the pad. It's transitional and transformational.

I have the A12Z 12.9" iPad Pro since launch day, it's great aside the battery seems to be shortened these days. However I happened to pick up a M1 11" iPad Pro from work recently. The performance is much better than the A12Z, it could be a fresh install of iPad OS 16.3. The M1 iPad Pro is really really good, can't imagine jumping to the current M2 models.

I lived ( not just “remembered”) when all this stuff just worked. Zip, 140 Disk, you stuck your level of RAM in. Now the floppy IS mounted 👍🏽 and I COULD “initialize” it. Better than nothing. But it is aaft all, Appleworks. That’s the Apple i loved and brought ne here.

I lived (not just remembered) when this stuff all ”just worked” Zip, 140K floppy, add your own RAM. Miracle is this external USB floppy drive reads on my MB Air. Only (ONLY) issue is the files are like, 1996 Appleworks WP docs. MB Air M1, cheap-o-hub, La Cie external floppy drive b

Now just offer them at the tiger direct price and you'll never have any inventory collecting dust. :p

While I'm happy with my 2018 11" iPad Pro, the size of the mini still intrigues me. Might be tempted if Apple ever fix the scaling.
