Refurbished pricing in the UK is atrocious. I'm in the market but they're trying to sell a refurbished X 256 GB for £679 and an XS 512 GB for £929. These devices are several years old! I can get a new 12 mini 128 GB for £729 of a regular 12 128 GB for £850.

Now I know the storage is lower, but realistically it's all the storage I and many others need. Who buys these phones?!

Or wait 8 months for iPhone 13 when a more efficient 5G modem will hopefully be available and the painful drawbacks and sacrifices of iPhone 12 rushed, unrealized 5G gimmicks, are less of a burden.

Lol, basically this. I'm also looking forward to promotion

The 11 is still a great phone for those who want an iPhone with snappy performance and a large screen on a budget. I'm loving my 12 Pro but I had no qualms with my 11 when I had it (same as the one in the OP actually).

The 11 Pro with 5.8” screen is a good phone for those who think the 6.1” 12 and 12 Pro are too big, but feel that the 5.4” Mini is either too small, or its battery is too short.

The 11 Pro is a good size, with good battery. 👍 May be your last chance at such a phone!!

My midnight green iPhone 11 Pro with 512GB still rocks! Actually is such an awesome phone, that I don’t have any need to upgrade to the 12 Pro. I’m just waiting for iOS 14.5 so I will be able to unlock it with my Watch when I wear a mask. 😃

I'm curious why there is such a delay for the refurbished store? I'd think that even within the first weeks. There'd be defective units customers returned during the return window. Rather than getting a repair. Don't those get fixed and sold?

For that matter. What about non-defective open box returns? I don't think they can resell those as new.

Do they just hold onto them as replacements for faulty phones? Until there's sufficient backstock to just start releasing them as refurbished.

Incompatibility with the iTunes that still has the AppStore means it is a hard pass even if it is free.
Just when will Apple understand that not everyone has freakin' unlimited data from the ISP at their home?
You are a minority consumer that’s why. It doesn’t make sense for them to cater to a minority when the majority of us do. Most people hate using iTunes.

I think they probably wait till they have a certain amount in Stock also don’t want to canabalise that new phone market. They waited for a dead spot in sales and months before a new phone is announced.

The 11 Pro refurb even includes the 18W USB-C charger, which none of the 12 series phones do. Another evidence that the "environment" excuse is BS, Apple excluded them from the 12 series to increase or protect their profit margins (pinching pennies).

The name of the game is “market strategies”. The first months after the release, Apple wants people to buy a brand new iPhone for which people has to pay the full price instead a cut off price, as simple as that. Many times this strategy can be kept even until a entire year has passed after the release. In few words, is pure marketing.

UK refurb store doesn't have stock of the 11. Anyone manage to see the £ prices for 128gb?

PWM sensitivity is real, SE Plus dreams are dead, 8 Plus stock non-existent so 11 it may have to be.........

Checking everyday has not brought any iphone 11 128gb stock to the refurbished store. I just spoke to a chat agent enquiring about the price and was told:

"I sincerely apologise but the prices for the refurbished items are never recorded or pre set".

Really?!

I've not once seen a refurbished 11 in the UK store over the last few months. Only X and XS at ridiculous prices.

You might want to check Giffgaff for refurbished 11s. I bought my 7 there years ago and it was fine and reasonably priced.

Will the UK ever get the 11/Pro refurbs? US got theirs in Feb it's almost May.
