No tim uses a samsung fold 4How about fixing the HIDEOUS bug where the notifications appear squared and then change to rounded edges since a couple of releases?. Is it a RAM issue?. Does not Tim uses an IPhone???????!!!
They (and Google/MS) need to get away from the yearly thing. If you have to get up to x.5 release 6 months after the release of x.0, then you need a new programming chief and a large ship load of smarter programmers.
I trust you also sent this to https://www.apple.com/feedback/Apple, I’m one of your biggest fans but you need to take a year off and have your work from home engineers focus on stability! I have AirPods Pro 2 paired with my iPhone 14 Pro running iOS 16.3. Does this happen to anyone else? I'll be sitting at my desk and I have an incoming phone call. I pop both AirPods in my ears, hear the "bong" and then swipe to answer the call. The phone shows that it is using the first speaker option which is the speaker that you hold to your ear vs. being set to AirPods. If I tap on the AirPods option, the majority of the time, the call hangs up. It otherwise takes a good 5 seconds for me to hear the caller on my AirPods. It never used to be this way - used to be near instant. Is anyone else having this problem??? After I answer a call, it's 5 seconds of "Hello, you there? Can you hear me? Helloooo? Oh, there you are..." every.single.time. It's extremely frustrating for me and my clients. Another huge annoyance is that once I'm talking to someone on the phone with my APP2, about 1-3 minutes into the call, the call switches from the APP2 back to the internal iPhone speaker (not speakerphone). Do Apple engineers/employees actually use their own products? Do they care? Also, I'm about to throw my two paired HomePod OGs out the window!!! I get the "Who's speaking?" question many times per week and I’m the only male in the house and have a deep voice if you were wondering…FFS Apple!
Vulnerabilities can’t wait that long to be patched.I am after years of being nothing but an Apple user getting tired of monthly updates. It's a PITA when you have 3 Apple TV's, 3 Ipads, 3 iPhones, 3 Apple Watches. and 3 MBA's. Apple needs to do once a year or every 6 months updates.
Which is a good thing, considering how buggy iOS 15 and 16 were at GM. I mean there’s no harm in pushing an OS that focus on bug fixes. At this point, there's nothing to be excited about.
Apple doesn’t have thousands of configurations. They make the OS only for their own hardware, and iDevices are closed system devices. Add on Tim Cook always bragging about their hardware and software integration at the beginning of every keynote. Really no excuses for a trillion dollar company.![]()
Who spends a lot of time shipping operating systems and software without some bugs these days? Software is way more complex than years ago, just impossible to avoid every little bug without extensive testing in all forms of usage with thousands of configurations.![]()
7 and 7+ are already dropped from iOS 16. Their last iOS was iOS 15.The last few iOS point versions always destroy the phone models (dramatic slowing, memory usage, and battery kill) that will be discontinued in the next cycle. The trick is to stop updating a few months before the next full version, if you suspect the phone will be discontinued. Right now I'm guessing 7, 7+, 8, 8+, X and SE2 are slated for destruction. Possibly 11 but unlikely. Would NOT update any of those ever again until apple announces which will get next iOS version, and if discontinued, definitely NEVER update to last point version, regardless of whatever security BS they make up.
I missed that. It's so commonplace now I can't keep up. Maybe Apple should just start putting 1 year auto-destruct in all their hardwwre. They could make so much more money!7 and 7+ are already dropped from iOS 16. Their last iOS was iOS 15.
But look how beautiful the iPhone 14 Pro shape is ... just so prestine and clean.Still waiting for the HomeKit fixes, Apple. My HomePods turn their lonely sensors to you.
I was discussing software variations that users have installed, not comparing it to numerous hardware variations that for example windows PC’s hardware present with the wide array of drivers also. Just looking at iPhones there is a ton of iPhone apps out there that are loaded on people iPhones.Apple doesn’t have thousands of configurations. Even then, iOS apps run in a sandboxed environment, with APIs tightly controlled by Apple.I was discussing software variations that users have installed, not comparing it to numerous hardware variations that for example windows PC’s hardware present with the wide array of drivers also. yup, thanks for the link. Just did. Doubt it will help. I don't think they are very attuned to their customers any longer...I trust you also sent this to https://www.apple.com/feedback/
Most FAANGS or whatever they’re now tend to hire in the same method: value quick working (and unmaintainable) code over something someone more tenured would write. If you have to get up to x.5 release 6 months after the release of x.0, then you need a new programming chief and a large ship load of smarter programmers.
