That is most definitely personal opinion. My personal opinion is that it looks geeky, square, cheap and exactly the same as everyone else's apple watch.

As someone who loves mechanical watches, I totally understand where ur coming from, but I don't think it will look/feel cheap, esp once it's in ur hands. I also don't think you will see too many on people's wrists, at least near the beginning. In fact the only reason I had considered buying one was to be an early adopter. You have to use it every day to get the most out of it tho, and I knew that would never happen with the other watches I can choose from.

What's that sir? You want Apple Care + included with your $17000 watch? Hahaha does sir think we are a charity!

I find it disgusting that a 17000 car has a better warranty then an Apple watch INCLUDED in the sales price.

If you're paying over 10 grand for a watch I'm pretty sure money doesn't matter at that point.

Exactly. I paid $1900 for mine and it came with 1 year.

The 17k you pay for the car has warranty priced into it. That 17k watch would probably cost 18 or 19k if you wanted a 3 year warranty priced in.

Knowing Apple, you can buy a Mac Pro apple care for the same price as a 2k machine or 10k machine.

I think Apple is standardizing the warrenty on the watch edition because at 17k, you really shouldn't have more than 1 warrenty option. Apple care is also almost always 2 years, and most fine timepieces come with a 1 year warrenty. I think these may be a few of the things they were considering when deciding on what warrenty to have.

Me using internet lingo on an internet forum (who would have thought!?!?) has nothing to do with the rudeness of your post.

I usually steer clear of conflicts on forums, but I found what you said to be upsetting.

I don't care, and no "ur" has not been considered internet lingo for some considerable amount of time. Since the 90's at most actually. For someone who claims to make such purchases, I expect better communication skills than that.

Become upset all you want, but my point remains valid.

An ounce of good is less than $1200. Does the watch have even an ounce of gold to account for $16651 in price difference?

But it's a special gold that Jony invented. Made from magic and special atoms. LOL

If I am paying 10,000+ for a watch I want more than 3 years of warranty.

Then you are unlikely to pay $10,000+ for a watch.

People who are paying $10,000 for a smartwatch are the kind who are likely to replace it in less than 3 years anyway.

Patek Philippe makes a million dollar watch (and many watches in the $10,000-$100,000 price range,) that only has a two year warranty. And they're not even smartwatches.

I thought it was 1 year. I know that Panerai and Audemars are.

Edit: nvm, Panerai is 1 year, the rest are 2.

If I am paying 10,000+ for a watch I want more than 3 years of warranty.

I have had several different $10 to $20 watches in my life that all came with a lifetime warranty. I replaced them only because I decided I was tired of that particular one and got another that looked or felt different and was also inexpensive.

A $300+ watch better have a lifetime warranty if my $10 watch does. And a $10,000 watch better have a warranty that will outlast me and be covered for my children.

Of course, the reality is that Apple expects their watches to be in a trash can by next year anyway. That's the market they're pursuing. They aren't serving a market that expects longevity and years of use. It's just more cyberjunk for landfills. Sell em fast, replace next year, repeat until the earth runs out of raw materials.

I have never seen the word 'warranty' misspelled so many times in a comment thread of purportedly educated people.

It's inexcusable for the gold and SS not to come with free AppleCare+ at their prices.

It's not Internet lingo it's bad English and you deserve to get pulled up for it. I actually stopped reading "your" initial post because of "your" writing and I feel that many others would too.

Read most forums, people usually write in proper English. Just because it's the internet doesn't mean that English has changed. There's no such thing as Internet lingo.
