Apple is offering customers in India free AirPods with the purchase of an iPhone 12 or an iPhone 12 mini in celebration of the upcoming Diwali festival, which starts on November 4.

Apple's promotion will kick off on Thursday, October 7, and last year, it was highly popular with supplies selling out in just a couple of hours. According to Apple, the deal will be available from October 7 to November 4, though it's not clear how long supplies will hold up this year.

There is limited stock available on a per model basis, and Apple says that the promotion will only be available while stock lasts, so those in India hoping to take advantage of the deal should order early on October 7.

Customers in India can get the standard AirPods with Charging Case free with the promotion savings of INR 14900, or can pay extra to upgrade to the AirPods with Wireless Charging Case or the AirPods Pro. Pricing on the iPhone 12 starts at INR 59900, but monthly payments are available, as are discounts with older device trade-ins.

(Thanks, Purav!)

Apple's quarterly conference call is October 28, a Thursday.

This promotion ends November 4, a Monday, and will flush existing AirPods inventory.

Apple's next event will then be November 5, a Tuesday, or November 6, a Wednesday. They will have new Macs and new AirPods. Boom, there it is. That's the date.

Sorry, what year are you talking about? Nov 4th is definitely not a Monday in 2021.

It seems plausible, with all the chip shortages, for them to push the event to November...

Kuo says AirPods 2 will continue to be sold alongside AirPods 3.

Makes sense to have a hi-mid-lo family of AirPods.

What this promo tells us is AirPods 3 will be more expensive than the current AirPods price.

Wow, we don't get anything like that in the United States, where Apple is based.

Nice, Apple, nice!
I'm US born and based...but I laughed imagining any person in another country where Apple does business seeing this comment and rolling their eyes so hard something breaks.

We might not get this particular deal, but there are so many Apple products/features/services that either come to all the other countries late...or sometimes not at all.

The US is Apple's spoiled favorite child, so I can't complain about us missing out on one small thing like this, haha.

Well there is nothing a fancy offer here, its same price like we are getting in our annual big discounts diwali sale on other e-commerce website, apple giving free airpods on iphone 12 which costs at ₹ 65,900 so the real discounted price of iphone 12 comes at ₹ 51,000 and in our annual big billion days sale we will be getting iphone 12 at ₹ 49,999 and airpods at 8500 after card discount so total amount is ₹ 58,499 which is less than apple official offer but there is one thing that the apple official offer will give you satisfaction and complete trust of not getting cheatead by getting refurbished or used product like we have to face in other e-commerce sales.

moreover you guys (USA) have great option of returning iphone if you dont like it at low prices, but in india we dont have that option even after paying heavy amount for it, in the end we only have option to live with refurbished iphone or go to service center for repairs but still it will be a refurbished smartphone even after getting replaced from apple authorised service centers.

12 64 gigs is 880$ in India.
13 128gigs is 800$ in the US.

13 is 1080$ in India.
13Pro starts at 999$ in the US.
13Pro starts at 1620$ in India.

Trust me you definitely don’t want Apple to treat you the same way they treat India.
It’s because of the Indian import tax. They can easily fly HK to get a new one tax free.

Don't worry, Apple will continue to **** U.S. customers as always. Because they care about U.S. people, U.S. workers and U.S. customers.

I'm not sure if these big tech giants look at implementing reverse innovation concept to their products if they have to sell in developing countries. Wikipedia has some nice introduction to this concept and probably Apple should look at if they want to compete with low cost Android based phones in India, not a $1000 iPhone!!

Do those prices include VAT?
