Kuo says AirPods 2 will continue to be sold alongside AirPods 3.

Makes sense to have a hi-mid-lo family of AirPods.

What this promo tells us is AirPods 3 will be more expensive than the current AirPods price.

This promo is now a yearly event so it tells us nothing. It happened last year when 12 came out so you got free AirPods with 11.

Wow, we don't get anything like that in the United States, where Apple is based.

Nice, Apple, nice!
But we do

Curiously, what is the average monthly income/salary for the demographic likely to buy Apple products in India?

LOL, India? Really? How about United States, I remember when headphones came with iPhones but whatever Apple products still sell with or without them and why Apple care when they are making money.

I'm from India and Apple is selling these 12 series devices for around $149 more than other online stores and Airpods without wireless case are around $200. So this is not really a big deal as many of you think it is.

In India only people that buy Airpods are the ones doing some sort of tv or online interviews. And the Airpods Max were bought by a total of 6 people I think. So Apple is really trying to push adaptability for these devices. These were being thrown around along with iPad Pros as well last month.

iPhones are already overpriced in India. So even if they give free AirPods, the US price will be still less than that. 13 pro starts at 1617 USD compared to 999+taxes in US.

Other than 1700 going out of my bank account, do I get anything else with the newly released 13 Pro Max??? This is kinda messed up.

12 64 gigs is 880$ in India.
13 128gigs is 800$ in the US.

13 is 1080$ in India.
13Pro starts at 999$ in the US.
13Pro starts at 1620$ in India.

Trust me you definitely don’t want Apple to treat you the same way they treat India.
Seems more like India doing it to itself? Isn’t there a 20% tariff on imported phones? The pro is too high, but it seems like the 13 is pretty much only more expensive because of the tax.

always love seeing apple apologists coming out of the woodwork to defend apple treating their american customers like crap. "you don't want to pay more than in other countries!" or the classic "it's ok that the others get better warranty services. you're paying less anyway!" who says you're gonna be paying more? we're already paying more and more every time a new phone comes out, and they decide to omit stuff from the box in order to save the environment.

i always wonder how modern places like hospitals would function if one day they suddenly had to stop using things like plastic.

This should put things into perspective.

Based on the average wage in India, you would have to work 18 weeks to buy an iPhone 13.

Very good promotion. Those wanting to claim the offer, should purchase one immediately after the offer opens on 7th, otherwise it will be out of stock. Last year similar offer went out of stock pretty quickly.

Other than that, hopefully, Apple reduces the price of Pro iPhones here in India. 128GB Pro Max is around $1800 in India. The high import duty is the reason, but still. Also if returns are allowed, it would be fantastic.

Some comments here reiterate why some folks lack basic economic understanding, and are possibly Fubar!

You clearly do not understand how import taxes work.
iPhone SE, Xr, 11 and 12 are locally manufactured by Apple in India, not imported, yet their rates aren’t comparable to their US prices officially atleast until a year or two later.

SE is officially 539$ or 40k INR. vs 400$ in the US.

11 is officially 675$ or 50k INR. vs 500$ in the US.

12 is officially 876$ or 65k INR. vs 700$ in the US.

Although this pricing isn’t as terrible as the Pro models, this still is good enough to prove my point to you(Someone who apparently understands everything).
