I obviously want to trade in my iPhone 8 Plus towards the cost of a new phone, but I don’t know about the condition of it.

I’ve always had it in a 3rd party case since day one, and I’ve dropped it on wooden flooring maybe three times (in the case). However, there are little pock marks on the top right corner, and maybe (?) a little crack as well. I imagine this would be declined as a trade in...thoughts?

I found this on Apple’s website on the iPhone trade in questions. I imagine it would affect any trade in value eg if they offered £150 for a good condition you’d likely get a lower value for any damages.

I’m on Apple’s interest free installment plan for my 11 Pro Max. It would be neat if Apple offered an upgrade option with payment restart option or credit trade-in to move to an iPhone 12. :p

You could probably recycle your phone for about £560 which is hassle free and may be enough to clear your current loan.

Is this only for the Iphone 12 and not the Iphone 12 pro max? I've also been given the option but doesnt progress when choosing the pro max.

Make sure to check your settlement figure.

I am on the iUP and my settlement figure was £404, the trade in value for the phone with Apple is £550.

So by clearing the finance and upgrading you are £150 better of.

Is that what you have done then? Traded in your phone and started another iup?
I have the 11 pro with I suspect the same £400 odd left so I was thinking the same, clear iup and start again 🤔

I haven’t yet, but that’s what I will be doing.

I have cleared the finance and will either sell the phone privately and start a new iUP or just take it on two year finance trading the phone into Apple.

I suppose the issue we face now on the iUP is due to this ‘late’ iPhone 12 if the next one releases back in the September schedule we won’t be able to upgrade until Nov / Dec next year.
