Is it possible for other people, companies, or developers to offer free app codes in the app store?

Seems a bit sleazy if Apple is doing it and nobody else can.

Yes other developers can give away codes. As a matter of fact there's a thread around here for an app called tipSkip. Sorry I don't have the link but I'm sure you can find it :)

I set up a fake account a while back as some friends kept sending FB links to share photos. I have nothing in my account - just a fake name and the minimum bogus data required to set one up.

Comes in handy for freebies like this, occasionally. Never ever felt the slightest bit interested in FB for its own sake. I just don't see the attraction.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A334 Safari/7534.48.3)

I lost all my cash in the last update, anyone know how to fix this?

One way is the 50 promo codes developers get per version. There is probably another way to generate codes, but I have used the promo code method.

Wow... I tried it and it just keeps reloading two pages back and forth in this endless loop. Tried a few times and always the same thing. Bummer.

Its because America think they're the centre of the universe and that everything revolves around them...

We have access to a free game because we think we're the center of the universe? In what way do I have control over what a tiny segment of the population makes available to me?

Let it go, it's just not worth it. You know how it is, everyone is ready to slam the US but would give their right testical to be able to have what we have. (Except for our mobile providers) :D

Saw this and took advantage of the offer. It's a really fun game, definitely worth the 99¢ if you don't have/want a Facebook account.

I do exactly the same. Hate Facebook. But my fake account comes in handy for stuff like this.
