Shaun T is great and the Insanity plus T25 are very motivating. My wife uses them a lot.

We did look at the Apple Fitness one's yesterday and they looked pretty good. We didn't do the free trial yet (she got a new Apple watch for Christmas), but we'll probably do it next weekend. The bits you could see looked good though.

It would be cool if they brought Shaun T on board for Apple too.

i just updated my iOS and went through them too. While the production values and even the workouts themselves look good - I am quite bummed that it does not have a program or a workout calendar kind of an approach. For me one big reason the Shaun T workouts worked was having a 60 or so day calendar to follow. And then switch it up with some other workout.

over the last 5 years or so I and my wife have done workouts of almost everyone on beachbody roster (Shaun T is my favourite) Their workouts are really, really good, and their library is truly massive. If you can keep yourself away from the MUlti-level-marketing stuff their workouts are top grade with pretty good production values. They have a streaming product too, but it does have technical issues I hear. I have their DVDs collected from long time back though.

Mine was doing this and the only thing that fixed it was factory resetting the Apple TV. Worked flawlessly ever since.

Sadly this solution didn’t work for me. I’ve tried it multiple times.

Try signing out of iCloud on your Apple TV and then signing in again. Apple customer service told me to do that and it worked. I also restarted my watch and Apple TV, but I think the sign-out was the trick.

Mine was nothing to do with HomeKit it was my watch and the problem with having two apple id’s one for iCloud and one for purchases and the need for the Apple Watch to be restored with the purchasing Apple ID not the iCloud one. Seems a lot of others had the same issue.

What do you mean "restored with the purchasing Apple ID"? The iCloud ID is the one used for the backup. Do you mean you can't use Fitness+ unless both the purchasing ID and Apple ID are the same?

The first time I reset my watch I was prompted to sign in with my iCloud the second time I reset it it prompted me to use my purchasing Apple ID the one I had since before mobile me days it paired with apple fitness in like two seconds after that.

How many of you have one Apple ID for purchases and one for iCloud. I had this issue on both my hd and 4K Apple TV’s.

Me. My situation sounds similar to yours. I’ll try the watch reset thing to see what happens. Do you lose all of the setup Apple Pay cards?
I did... pay attention to what Apple ID it has you verify it changed fir me on the second reset even though I restored from the same backup each time

You know, there's something a little cringe-worthy about utterly busting your nuts in some exercise routine when the folks on the screen facing you have big Hollywood cheesy smiles on their face and aren't even breaking a sweat...
FWIW I just did a 45min spin class on there and the trainer was dripping wet and could barely speak in full sentences by the end. But you do realize you described EVERY video based trainer out there, right?

I’ve done about a dozen of the classes (spin, HIIT, core and yoga). I think they are all excellent so far, but you the consumer are left with the responsibility of proper stretching and cool down before and after. There is a “mindful cooldown” you can do after each class, but I think you are better off just learning to properly stretch on your own.

as a phase 2 I would like to see classes based solely on proper stretching techniques for certain sports, as well as videos or blogs focused on nutrition, supplements, etc.

Literally nothing is working for me. I usually don't have issues with Apple stuff but Homekit and Fitness+ are two major exceptions. Homekit is the sloppiest thing I've ever used, and Fitness+ just can't ever find my watch no matter what I do. I'm not resetting my watch either since I'm really close to a year end streak, nor should I have to reset my watch.

Just backup your watch and restore from backup you wont lose anything.

Are you trying to use it with an Apple TV? If so, try factory resetting the Apple TV. It should work after that and iCloud saves most of the preferences and Home Screen layout.

Do we have workout reviews out yet? Am curious how these stack up against the other popular home workout videos, especially against insanity workouts
I've been using Beachbody On Demand (BOD) for a few years now. I really wanted to like Fitness+ but it's just not comparable yet. Beachbody On Demand houses all of the Shawn T (Insanity, Max 30, T25 etc) and a ton of other varied workout programs (LOTS of HIIT, MMA, Boxing, Yoga, Strength, Nutritional Videos, Workouts for pregnant people, kids etc etc etc). There are so many videos and so many other types of programs for literally everyone. It's $100 a year (Cad, I'd assume less in the US).

In contrast, Fitness+ is like comparing AppleTV+ at launch to HBOMax, except in this case, they're both about the same price. In fitness+, you pick the type of workout you want (so say HIIT), the duration (10, 20, 30 minutes), then the music genre (pop, upbeat, rock etc) and then you're presented with a video or two. That's totally fine, but what are you supposed to choose next time? You either have to repeat the workout or change music genres or duration. There are no schedules, no informational materials for the workouts, no nutritional plans.

On BOD, you have hundreds of programs that include schedules where the workouts get progressively more advanced. Each program has anywhere between 10-100 workouts in it. They even have hybrid schedules where they mix and match programs. BOD is also available on every single apple product and doesn't require the latest version to work. I'd say the only thing BOD doesn't do (afaik) is following along on a cycling, eliptical program.

I haven't used Peleton's so I can't compare that one.

If you're only going to choose one, BOD is a no-brainer, especially considering they're about the same price. I wouldn't personally pay for Fitness+ but I'll have it as part of Apple One.

I’ve already tried that and many other things unfortunately. No luck.

Agree... I got to see it too later. I don't have BOD. But have a whole lot of DVDs. I keep cycling between Shaun T and Tony Horton. But occasionally do Les Mills Combat. Fitness+ has great sets and I can't comment on the trainers themselves. But the offering is very, very light compared to BOD. I should be starting T25 this week. Been super lazy for the last couple of weeks!

I solved mine by canceling the subscription. :p
Both ATV experience same prob. Another broken sys from apple.
