What about the people who ordered AirPods with wireless charging under the assumption that AirPower was following. Seems like a cluster...
If only a former Apple CEO have had the policy to never announce a product that is not ready... oh wait!
It was never going to be able to compete with 3rd party chargers who have been in the market for months or us at the rumoured price you could have bought 3 Qi chargers and done the same thing

I don't know what's more surprising: the fact it's cancelled, or that DigiTimes were wrong once again.

WOW. Immediately after releasing wireless charging Airpods... which people (not me) would have specifically bought with Airpower charging in mind.

Glad they did. Can't keep the people waiting. Also glad that I picked up Nomad's Base Station Apple Watch Edition. It functions just like AirPower, if not better. Albeit without iOS integration.

Wow. Armageddon is upon us. This is monumental, I don't recall anything like this ever happening in Apple's history.
It's one thing if they had simply talked about this and it never came to fruition, but they actually mention it in documentation for other products as if it was a sure thing. I guess there's nothing wrong with aiming high, but they gambled and lost here. Hopefully they will not give up on any kind of wireless charging mat, though.

After 2+ years of vaporware, after just recently securing the name, they cancel it? What a joke. And now...what? They won't even attempt to make a respectable entry into this space? The market is flooded with absolute junk. Nothing that even approaches Apple's standard of quality.
