not a bug fan of this. Loved the subtle yet loud movie theatre style bong of the last one. Used to love how it would shake up my living room with the tight bass before any show or movie. Going to miss it. Change for changes sake

I know the feeling. I cannot count the times I have wanted to check my email and launched Microsoft Woutlook by mistake. Also tried to open a spreadsheet in Pexcel recently.

I hate everything about Microsoft. Have to use it at work and constantly open wrong app because in Microsoft brilliance they decided to make three of their most popular apps look the same. Apple has their faults and failures to be sure but I am always so happy to be home and back on my Mac’s.

Jony Ive sucks without Jobs to keep his nonsense in check.
Very true. Ives was very good at making tech look beautiful. Jobs was very good at making sure it was usable.

There's also the fact that Ives has not really done anything of note since leaving Apple, instead he's just done nebulous "consulting" with "LoveFrom". His role now seems to professionally be Ives, talk a bit, and then pick up the consultancy cheque.

As For Apple One, I do have a family subscription, because, in my part of the world, it's better value at the family / multiple user level than buying individual service packages, and in the years I've had it I've never been aware that there was an "Apple One logo", and, if I hadn't read this article, I wouldn't not have been aware that there is a new Apple One Logo.

Which shows what a nothingburger this is for people to get their nose out of joint over. I don't really know what the logo from my ISP is either, all I care about is the service I'm paying for.

The Fitness Instructors are cheesy and annoying.

No kidding .. the one time I tried Apple Fitness I couldn't believe all the endless over the top "you're doing great!", "good job!", etc, type of comments.

It was like a fitness routine for someone with serious insecurity and confidence issues.

Granted, I tried it one time .. but I was so turned off by the tone/feel of it that I was one and done.

It clearly is not a service that's targeted at me.

Apple ONE.. really ?

Come on Apple, make some effort, it's even in the name. ONE.
And what do you give us? A pile of randomly arranged cubes.
How does this even come close to ONE ? All I see is MANY.

Wait...
Maybe it's actually one.

One big mess of a service combo yeah, where you bundle together a more than mandatory storage plan because you can't backup otherwise, with surprisingly decent media libraries atrociously plagued by ridiculously designed apps, a more than forgettable collection of brain-dead games raised from the app store's prehistory, a strange menagerie of hip and failed athletes dancing frantically on a weird list of music titles. Oh and of course a few services most of the rest of the world will never see since the rest of the world is not USA, haha you poor peons !

Yeah makes sense now.

I sometimes feel like stuff like that gets planted as a story so we get angry about the ugly logo that we're distracting from being angry at Cook shaping Apple into a company that extracts monthly fees from us.
It's very important to his Service Revenue spreadsheet, you see.

The worst part besides the ever-increasing prices for TV/Music is running into infinite ADVERTISEMENTS in news+
Spinning Apple Care into a subscription service just feels like salt on a wound...
