Is it a good idea?

I could go with the individual plan for Apple One, but it misses Apple News, and I don't play games or watch TV or need extra iCloud.

If Apple could allow customers to pick and choose their own bundle, that would be great!

No, I don't think it's a good idea at all. Giving up one's identity and privacy would be worth many millions more than a $10/month news service.

+1 on NO. Bad idea to trust strangers to not run up charges. As the primary/organizer you will be on the hook for any purchases they make.

And if you're not the primary, good luck finding someone who would be willing to do that. This is just all around a terrible idea.
