Hey!

Are the questions about apple one have to be posted here? Seems that there is not yet a dedicated subforum.

Anyhow… does anyone know any estimated date for Apple One to be released? Also… we are probably going to get the family plan, but like a lot of people around here find the storage size a little bit small. Are there any rumor about the price tag for increasing the storage to 2TB?

Apple's site still says "coming this fall" so no date has been announced.

I was pretty sure in the announcement video they had mentioned "October" but haven't found reference to that since (I haven't bothered to rewatch or anything). I've been eager to sign up as I'm holding off on signing up for News+ and want to get going on that sooner than later.

I am guessing the release will coincide with iOS 14.2, widely rumored on the week of November 9 to 13. The last day of fall is December 21, so Apple One's release date could always slip.

My questions.
  • Whether Apple One would be offered as discounted yearly subscription. As it stands, you can subscribe to yearly subscription to Apple Arcade ($49.99), Apple Fitness+ ($79.99), Apple Music (individual plan at $99/year), and Apple TV+ ($49.99). Apple One costs $179.88/year, or only $30.98 cheaper than subscribing to services individually.
  • With Apple Fitness+ coming in late 2020, presumably after Apple One, I wonder how Apple One Premier subscription would be sold. My guess is Apple would offer 1 or 2 months of Apple One for free.
  • How Apple One would compensate subscribers with prepaid yearly subscription (or free extended trial) to Apple Arcade, Apple Fitness+, Apple Music, or Apple TV+. My guess is Apple would prorate unused portion at retail value. For instance, if you purchase iPhone 12 that includes 3-month Apple Arcade ($14.97) and 1-year Apple TV+ ($49.99) after Apple One launches, you might get $64.96 Apple One credit, or about 4.5 months of Apple One Individual.

I wonder if they are just waiting for Fitness, or if they will either release just the first two tiers, or release them all and adjust the Premier price until Fitness releases?

Same as me plus what are they going to do about people with Music from other services. With Disney, if you have D+ through VZW and have the D+ Hulu E+ package, they credit the D+ amount. Will Apple do the same if you have AM through VZW?

I think the right solution is for Apple to prorate them at retail value, until the total becomes $0.

Hopefully, if you get Apple Music Individual through Verizon, Apple should let you upgrade upgrade to Apple One Individual (50GB iCloud, Apple Arcade, Apple TV+) for $4.99/month extra. We shall see.

I've been searching apple one release date everyday since they announced it. I purchased a year subscription of apple tv+ the day it launched last year. Renewal day is coming up and I was hoping to know what was going on before hand.

According to twitter
Apple CFO Luca Maestri told @emilychangtv that Apple One is launching tomorrow and Fitness+ is launching this quarter.
