Apple's online store and Apple Store app purchasing system are down ahead of Apple Watch Series 7 pre-orders, which are set to begin at 5:00 a.m. Pacific Time in the United States.

"You're... early," reads the Apple Store message when visiting the U.S. website, which comes with a reminder that device pre-orders begin at 5:00 a.m. Apple has been doing new device pre-orders at that time since last year.

The Apple Watch Series 7 models are available for pre-order in more than 50 countries around the world, and will be launching on Friday, October 15.

Those hoping for an Apple Watch Series 7 on launch day should aim to place an order right when the Apple Store comes up as there have been rumors of supply constraints.

Pricing on the Apple Watch Series 7 starts at $399 for the aluminum models, which come in midnight, starlight, green, blue, and (PRODUCT)RED. Stainless steel and titanium models are also available for a higher price.

So what if I want to buy buy something completely different? I'm still forced to wait (if I prefer the apple store). Maybe this was funny in 2004 but today it's just plain stupid to shut down the complete store for one ***** item.
Yeah my friend tried to order an iPhone 13 and just when he tried to pay for it the system kicked him out and showed this screen. He was very mad.

Yes, as an Apple stock holder, I'm pissed at this.

What the hell is this? 1970s technology? You have to take the whole store down to add one new item? It's like closing the entire Walmart because a new cereal gets added.

Would be nice if they released some more info on prices, available combinations etc prior to launching the pre-orders. Likely to miss out now as I try to decide what I want!

I need to order a watch soon so can stop changing my mind. I’m at a Midnight 45mm LTE watch with a dark blue loop.

Every time I bring this up someone says it’s to “build hype”, but what kind of hype are they building in the middle of the night for a single product? I don’t even buy that reasoning when it’s the phone launches but it’s clearly nonsense when we’re talking watches.

i am really having a hard time to decide: midnight, starlight or blue ... or green .. I switch color-bands constantly. I fear that any other than starlight will clash with the color-bands
Same. Totally the same. I love the green. That’s my color. But I have watch bands from Pistachio to citrus pink to plum. All would look kinda stupid with the green. Only the more neutral or warm colors would really go I would think. So starlight or sell off some watch bands. ?‍♀️

strongly thinking about buying both and deciding later…. But damn I know that’s why delivery time get pushed back so fast ?

Am I able to buy one without the band at all? I already have all the bands I want

Anybody know if you can custom choose exactly what band and watch you want for preorders?
