They won't update the store before the announcement, once all of the new iPods are introduced, they will update them, or after the event.
They will of course update the site with the new iPods for preorder, but they most likely won't ship for a few weeks.

it's a full blown launch...i just ordered my 64 gig!!! whoo hooo! Now, i have to take back the 64 gig itouch my wife bought me 2 weeks ago. hopefully best buy won't give me any problems.
what's the diff. between preorder and order...i just ordered the itouch 64gig and they said it will be delivered between 9/10 and 9/14
There is no "real" difference other than a delay in shipping. I ordered my iPhone 4, but my "pre-ordered" iPod touch will still get to me faster than that iPhone did.
