So I guess it is time to replace the Apple TV with another streaming device. Shame!
Give it a couple more months. Some rumors say Apple will do another release event in May, or when they get Siri and Apple Intelligence sorted out.

Ouch, my wallet. 😵

Seems that MBP bought with Apple Card, isn't eligible for Monthly payments. All charged up front. This is different.....

I was able to order with monthly payments.

14" MacBook Pro / M5 Pro (18-core CPU/20-core GPU) / Nano-Texture / 64GB / 2TB
Delivers March 18th

I ordered mine within 10 minutes of preorders starting and I just noticed, it said it will deliver march 18. Is this because of the nano texture display? I have never seen delivery estimates jump that quick.

I think certain configurations just are later. My MBA with 32GB of RAM was 3/18 and I ordered at 6:30. I checked and every config/color with 32GB ram shipped that date. Only the 16GB option would be delivered on 3/11

Apple produced enough A18 Pro chips for roughly 110 million iPhone 16 Pro & iPhone 16 Pro Max .

If we assume a 30% "defect" rate where at least one GPU core failed but the CPU stayed perfect that leaves a "scrap" pile of roughly 30 to 45 million chips.

Because the iPhone 16 Pro is now being phased out for the iPhone 17 Apple has a massive surplus of these binned chips. This is why they can price the MacBook Neo at $599 (or $499 for Edu). The processors are essentially sunk cost inventory that didn't make the cut for the Pro iPhones.

Interestingly the standard A18 (found in the base iPhone 16 & iPhone 16 Plus) is actually a slightly different physical die than the A18 Pro so Apple can't just "downgrade" an A18 Pro into a standard A18. The MacBook Neo is the first time they've found a high-volume home for those specific "Pro" leftovers.

So I have found out that the MBP with M5pro/max chips are not available to order in Thailand yet.

I love apple and my Mac. But I just had my 2018MBP die last week. I knew Apple was releasing the new ones this week so I waited to order to get the latest. Now I can’t even order an M4 MPB.
Why say it’s available to purchase with it not being available in all countries. And no explanation or timeline given of when it can be ordered.

I even called Apple and they can’t say when.

This is just 💩!

TH regulatory requirmeents are slower than Apple or other countries. PH users have to deal with sluggish PH govt regulartors too.

Loo at the bright side. you guys have an IconSIAM flaship store. Nice place. Was there in 2018 to get my 2018 iPad Pro 11".
