I am a little bit worried because this is my first time preordered an iPhone 12 pro max and I kept looking at Apple order status and its still on “preparing a ship” since last Friday. Should I be concerned about it? I tried UPS and it still didn’t work. I tried Fed ex...nothing....it did say it will come to my house this Friday but how would I know what time???

No reason to worry. My order still says the same.
Same thing a few weeks back when I pre-ordered the iPad Air 4 at launch. It was "preparing to ship" until late Wednesday night, I think. Then it updated to "shipped" and was delivered on Friday as it was always scheduled to.

The app still shows preparing for me. But when I logged into my ups app it shows that it just left Alaska. Apple site hasn't updated for some reason. Check your address for income packages on ups.
Mine says the same. Still 11/13 delivery.
Don't be worried. This has happened to me in the past. My iPhone orders have always been on time.
It’s not going to change to shipped until your iPhone has cleared customs in Louisville. Everyone has the same status right now including myself. I’ve been tracking my phone since Saturday by using reference through my UPS MyChoice account. I even have the full tracking number.
All of my apple orders(through at&t) ship the day before delivery. Always get to me on time through fedex.
I am based in Hong Kong. We are the closest to China and our orders have started to ship out today.
My iPhone 12 Mini order shipped out and will be delivered tomorrow.

This is the first time I’ve ordered a 12 Pro Max too! 🤣🤣🤣 These devices are being staged and released tonight/tomorrow to ensure Friday delivery. Not sooner. Unfortunately for me I leave town tomorrow and won’t be home till late Sunday. Couldn’t be helped.
I bought 3 phones. iPhone 12 for wife, mini for my daughter and pro max for me. 2 are confirmed to come tomorrow but one is still preparing to ship.
They gave the date 13/11 to 17/11. So technically I can get either tomorrow or latest by Tuesday next week.

People don’t realize that Apple doesn’t show the true tracking until the day before launch. If you want a true sense of where your package is sign up for ups or FedEx and use your address. It will show you exactly where it is even if apple hasn’t posted tracking.
