I was walking down Lexington avenue in Manhattan and this guy spots me as having an iPhone plugged in my ears (microswitch giveaway). He asked me if I have an iPhone in my pocket and of I'm happy with the phone etc...

He then told me that they were filming interviews with iPhone owners for internal use. When i asked if its for Apple, I was told that they can't tell me who its for because the filming crew has signs non-disclosure agreements.

Anyway, I particpated in the interview and praised the iPhone for making my work easier.

Anyone run into tgese guys besides me?

How much damage can some do with a film of someone praise an iPhone?

Depends on the editors for the film.
Use your imagination.

When I did photography I always had credentials and showed them to the subject.

why so paranoid?

I'm a media producer myself and see no harm in giving my opinion here. Even if their intentions are impure. What kind of damage can they do?

Sorry I guess it's just my past experiences doing photography.I HAD to get permission and have the subject sign a waiver so that's just what I'm used to.
