I am so glad Apple is doing what it finally loves. Making those phones and computers to get to this place must've been hell.
Snakes are a reptile of the sub order of Serpintines.Wow cant wait to hear the life story of a snake.......
We love the NBA and KD here in Japan.are they aware that no one has a clue who this guy is outside of the USA ??? who the hell is he , and who cares
Sorry, no. You're confusing NBA advertising with reality.

As a result, basketball and the NBA, with the exception of soccer, is far more popular around the world than other team sports. At the start of the 2017-18 season, there were 108 players from 42 countries and territories on NBA rosters. The opening day rosters of all 30 franchises had at least one player born outside the United States, with Toronto and Utah having seven each on their roster. Many of today’s most promising young NBA players come from outside the United States. These include 23-year old Giannis Antetokounmpo of Milwaukee (from Greece), 21-year old Ben Simmons of Philadelphia (from Australia), 24-year old Joel Imbiid also of Philadelphia (from Cameroon) and 22-year old Kristaps Porziņģis of New York (from Latvia).
Idk about the overall popularity of basketball in Germany, but I do know *one* of the best players of all time is Dirk Nowitzki. Pretty sure the majority of the German population knows who he is. Then you have Detlef Schrempf who was pretty popular as well when he played.
My whole point is basketball is widely popular throughout the world and the NBA is the world's best league. To say no one outside of the USA cares about NBA players is completely false. Especially with more and more international players entering and being successful in the league

Well if you are a fan of the NBA then you will know him. I have never heard of him since like most people in Germany we don't care for basketball. I can hardly name you two NBA teams. Maybe three if you give me a minute. Most germans will not be able to name you one NBA team or player though.
Ask a german if they know Dirk Nowitzki and they will say yes. But ask a german if they know the name of his team or his city. I can tell you the answer. Oh and I didn't know you guys thought he was that special. Wow.
So it's not that nobody cares. Basketball fans care. And I even guess in Spain, Latvia or Greece where they value basketball more than here maybe even normal everyday people may name you two or three NBA players cause they read the sports pages of the newspapers. But really thinking normal everyday people outside of the US really care or know about the NBA is very self-opinionated.
Oh and I don't know the popularity of basketball vs football in the US but over here at least the NFL is shown on free TV.
Basketball is not a number one sport in any country in Europe. In a few countries it's in the top 3, in most it's even less. So imagine a normal daily newspaper having 4 or maybe even 6 pages of sports and 90% of them covered by soccer, how much press is that countrys own basketball league getting and how much of that is left for the NBA?
Agreed. Soccer, which I detest, is insanely popular globally. Basketball, NBA? No.Sorry, no. You're confusing NBA advertising with reality.
I think the idea is that Apple are trying to promote the idea that you can get to the top wherever and whoever you are?Who cares about the life of athletes?
You do know the NBA is insanely popular throughout the rest of the world too right? They host events overseas all of the time during the offseason. Hell even NBA stars are signed to Chinese apparel companies. This is just incorrect
My God the whining. This place is really becoming toxic. I mean, > 80% of Netflix production I am not interested in it, and neither are any of the Apple haters, yet I subscribe to Netflix for the rest and I don't bother to comment anytime they produce something I am no interested in, exactly the same thing all the Apple haters do. Yet they need to to start with the usual whining even on something meaningless like this.
Hard to believe with all their cash and access to talent that they can’t come up with some great entertainment. They are loosing their way.Apple going full speed down the road to irrelevance.
Who cares about the life of athletes?
Sounds like Apple is gearing up to rival Blockbuster.

Anyone else tired about the whining about whining? Really getting out of control lately.
You are right. It's hard to let go of a relationship with Apple that in some cases (my case) goes back almost 40 years. Apple used to have a singular obsessed vision to make insanely great products that changed living in a very real way. That is all gone, and greenlighting a TV series about a vapid basketball star is just the latest example. Apple shouldn't even be in this business. But that's Apple today and you're right, we should move on from the scorned phase.Well, I am very sorry if, in the context of a discussion forum, I find unsubstantiated and petty whining annoying and meaningless. After all, one of the first rule to have a healthy life is to focus on things one like and not obsess about things he doesn't like and have no control on.
