Palm PDA's are the only ones compatible with macs (that I know of) -- Palm PDA's also use Motorola processors. and Palm is also having some money problems at the moment. is the old Apple buying out Palm rumors even close to being true? If not, I think it wouldn't be a bad idea.

Plus, Apple would finally get the BeOS technology they was going to get, and maybe even use some of it, but I doubt that.

That's just my two cents.

O God! I've posted one of these Apple PDA BS threads and I got burned for it. Now, young one, you too will feel the burn. Please kill this thread before it gets out of hand! Also, GSFU, being ur first post and all, its probably not the best idea to make useless, server clogging threads . REMEMBER: DONT PISS OFF THE MODERATOR!!!
P.S.: All Hail the Newton!! No new Apple PDA will ever dethrone the Newton with its horrible handwriting recognition (about 50,000,000,000x worse than any Palm out there) and horrible battery life!!

Why is it so necessary to start these useless threads on Apple PDAs??

O god, GSFU, u got eyelikeart as ur moderator. He doesnt like these kind of threads. I suggest running for the hills or helping me pull up a chair to see some thread destruction (I got popcorn, laz-y-boys and sattelite HDTV!!!!)

I put my two cents in on the need for the closing of this thread! Infact, ill put a couple thousand $ on the fact that this thread will die VERY, VERY, VERY soon!

Yes, I know this reputation personally. U killed my PDA thread, but I thank u cuz u made me a better member in the process. And yes, my arse is still healing from 3rd degree lightsaber burns.

Why oh why do we have yet another PDA thread? Deary me. I think mischief's first post here sums up the general feeling. gfsu, please, get something different to post about in future :rolleyes:
 
It was just a thought. I don't get why people must go anal on me.

I think I'll stick to lurking. I guess thoughts/opinions/ideas are not respected in this forum :)

If you've been lurking around, then you'll have no doubt noticed that apple+PDA in the same thread does not go down too well. We've heard it all too often, so much so that it's almost a cliche now. Just look at eyelikeart's signature :)

Don't feel you have to go back to lurking. Your thoughts/opinions/ideas will be respected, as long as they are intelligent/meaningful/contributory, and don't mention 'PDA' :D

yes, i have. but i never actually seen somebody ask if they were somewhat true, i'm just wondering if they are. that is why i used the question mark icon on the post.

Well, as with most things on these boards, it's a rumour. That means you probably won't be able to get anything other than speculation and 'gut feeling', one way or the other. Don't worry, you're not the first to bring this one up in good faith, and you won't be the last :rolleyes:

Uh OH, britboy vs GSFU. I wonder whose gunna win??? The newbie vs the demi-god. On HBO this thursday for only 53.99. Also, I heard that Mike Tyson does a three round exibition after the match with Bill Gates (funded privately by Steve Jobs).
Now dont hurt him too bad britboy.

Quick correction, straight answer, then the ARGH!

Palm OS PDAs are the only ones directly compatible with Macs. (Newtons might be.)

There is a difference, now, finally, between Palm and Palm OS.

Apple buying out Palm the hardware company? No chance.

Apple buying out Palm OS, the software company? Not really likely.

It is POSSIBLE that Apple may enter some agreements with Palm OS, but thats so vague that its not even worth rumor status.

As for the ARGH! No Apple PDAs. No matter how much I might want one. (And I actually USE mine. :) )
