The Visitor Center at Apple's new Apple Park campus will open to the public on Friday, November 17, according to an internal email that Apple sent out to employees today.

The date is also listed on a sign at Apple Park that was shared today on Twitter, but the sign does not offer up a specific time for the event.

According to our source, the Apple Park Visitor Center features a gift shop with Apple-branded items available for purchase, much like the store at One Infinite Loop, but it does not have a full Apple Store and will not stock devices like the iPhone X.

Prior to the November 17 grand opening, Apple is inviting Cupertino residents who live near the Apple Park campus to preview the Visitor Center on Thursday, November 16. Residents can visit Apple Park from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a photo ID confirming a nearby address required for entry.

The Apple Park Visitor Center features a rooftop observation deck that overlooks the main ring-shaped building on the campus, along with a cafe, an outdoor seating area, and indoor wooden tables.

That was my photo! Was there today and there was a private event on for the marketing department. All retail staff were there, all caffe macs staff were there and security. The store had iPhones and iPads on the tables like all other apple stores. I asked if I could buy a Tshirt but they wouldn’t allow me.

That's an awesome invite, I have the 'hello' on a t-shirt I purchased from the campus

@iGraham4 How did you get invited?

Update: I see, you live right next to the campus so you received an invite, must be awesome to live right there, was that a consideration when purchasing your house?

The first image was mine of the sign at the glass door. I was just visiting Cupertino today

Oh... lol

May I ask why is it so blurry? Always wonder why stuff like this is hella blurry, want to know the reason!

To be honest security were horrible we were not let up near the glass we had to stand back to where the outside trees were. That photo was taken zoomed in and quickly in case they gave out to me

Long way from Pleasanton. But I guess closer if you live out of the SF Bay Area.

About 45 minutes, it’s a pretty straight shot just take I-680 (becomes I-280 at 101 in San Jose). With no traffic, say 10:00 am to 2:30pm, so leave by 1:45. Otherwise could be a couple hours easy

Me on my first tour:

Me: "Wow this place is great, I love the design." I come to a door... "Oh, that's odd, this door handle won't tu..."

Tim Cook interrupts from across the room "YOU'RE TURNING IT WRONG!"

I keep seeing the words Apple Park City which is a mall where the store is located near Philly.
I'm wondering why they are having a private event at Apple Park City. The. Ooooh, never mind. :p

I think Apple really Hit it out of the park with this new iPhone X. I have to say, I am really happy with the new phone (I upgraded from an iPhone 6). :)

A cafe?!? Blecch .... Who'd wanna eat the food from a computer factory? lol
What factory? And you do realize that high tech companies often hire top chefs and assistance and have some rather large and varied menus (often for free too, for their employees that is).

I'm hoping to visit next year spring. Whats the possibility of getting near the main campus itself? Could you get an employee to badge you in? I want to visit the old Infinite Loop campus while I'm there too.

Just have your dad get a job there and he can get you in. I hear there's an opening in RF...
