The "New" India does not have any issue in buying iPhones or any expensive phone. The issue in India is it's services. The service is the worst of anywhere in the world. In China, Apple has adapted the services according to Chinese people/culture, but in India, nothing like that exists. Also don't forget Indian have plenty of choices in Phones compared to US/Europe people. The Max costs 145,000 INR ($2064) which is so extreme that people in US also hesitate to pay. Drop the price and people will buy as happened in China.

So according to Tim Cook there are more 'skilled' people in India than in the United States, just like he said about China:
"It's skill," Cook told Charlie Rose in a segment that aired Sunday evening.

Rose countered by asking whether Chinese workers were more skilled than American or German workers.
"Let me be clear," Cook said. "China put an enormous focus on manufacturing, in what you and I would call vocational kind of skills. The US over time began to stop having as many vocational kind of skills. I mean you could take every tool and die maker in the United States and probably put them in the room that we're currently sitting in. In China you would have to have multiple football fields."

How little this Tim Cook thinks of American workers!

He's not wrong. The story of the Mac Pro screw shortage is a perfect example of why.

I wasn't asking to be facetious. Genuinely curious how you think your comment changes the narrative of painting Indians with a broad brush. I don't think it does, but I'm more than willing to hear how you do apparently.

You said "Some Indian people have no money to buy flagship iPhones", I changed it to MOST, reason, it's a fact most people can't affords iPhones in India.
This is not generalising, I wouldn't make that statement as the original OP did, I am pretty sure he actually meant to say most people can't afford an iPhone.
