Taylor Swift revealed today on Instagram that she will be the next partner in Apple's "Music Lab" sessions, which are available in Apple retail stores.

The Music Lab session will focus on learning how to remix the song "You Need to Calm Down," from Swift's upcoming album "Lover." According to Swift, these sessions will only be available in select Apple stores.

Similar to previous Music Labs, customers will be able to find out what inspired Swift to write the song, leading to the creation of their own version.

Apple in the past has partnered with Madonna and Billie Eilish on Music Lab sessions, which are available worldwide. Apple hasn't uploaded any official information on the sessions yet, but when it does the information should be available on Apple.com/today.

The Billie Eilish one was fun last month except noone showed up at my Apple Store - my 10 year old daughter was the only one there on a Saturday afternoon - I ended up taking the class with her.

I must be one of the very few that is interested in these collaborations. However, there is no information in any Apple Store on what to do. There are ads on iPads, but then you just go to the normal home screen. These promotions is to encourage creativity, but don’t make it easy to start

... Well how interesting and wonderful.

For a moment I almost (almost) believed that Taylor Swift was an educated artist; an inspiring musician whom I could query about the benefits of compression, auto tune and relationship mishaps.

In between a rock and a hard place
After the royalty kerfuffle, first the exclusive release and now this. Looks like they’re really buddies again.
I don't think they were ever not buddies. I think the royalty kerfuffle was basically one friend telling another friend, "Bruh, you know that $%#& ain't right. You can't just use other people's stuff and not pay 'em." Only a good friend (read: one with major clout) could get away with telling their friend to do the right thing without suffering repercussions.

I've been under the impression that her image is not so shiny any longer. not great perception of her out there. Why would Apple want to align themselves with her?
On one hand she's popular but on the other...

Fair enough. I was just pointing out the history there. But either way, we probably shouldn’t overstate the personal nature of this mutually profitable relationship.

Not an Apple hater, I’m totally not into criticyzing them but I think it’s clear they’re kinda struggling to remain as “cool” as they once used to be since everyone else is catching on. The US market is sort of an exception but the Trump-card is important. We’ll see...

I Agree, but a my local Apple store the let the men wear dresses and bright red lipstick.
Not quite sure if Apple cares too much about what they align with

From one side- It always seems Apple office is that bunch of old dudes, that don’t know what’s relevant and just Google “Artists young, hip people like” and then invite one of Top 5 results.
On the other hand- what do you invite? Some mumble rapper with face tattoos, who talks about...NSFW themes?

Hey! Don’t insult mumble wrap....low IQ people need music that’s made just for THEM.
