Apple is partnering with two Los Angeles-based restaurants this weekend to offer free pizza in celebration of the second-season finale of the Apple TV+ show "Servant." The promotion pays homage to "Cheezus Crust," a fictional pizza delivery business in the show.

Those in Los Angeles can order the free pizza from either Gjelina or Milo & Olive through Grubhub, with the offer lasting through Sunday or until supplies last. The pizza's toppings include duck sausage, confit leeks, shimeiji mushroom, nameko mushrooms, mozzarella, and thyme, echoing the use of occasionally peculiar food in "Servant." The pizza is listed at $30, but the discount will be applied at checkout.

"Servant," a horror thriller produced by M. Night Shyamalan, follows a Philadelphia couple who are in mourning after losing their child. Their baby, Jericho, is replaced by a reborn doll that Dorothy, the mother, thinks is real, and a strange nanny, Leanne, is hired to look after the doll. After Leanne's arrival, bizarre things begin happening to the family.

"Servant" was one of the first series on ‌Apple TV+‌, and it was popular with ‌Apple TV+‌ subscribers. Apple renewed the show for a third season in December.

I must say we all need to lighten up a little.

Based on what I've read, Jesus may have found Cheezus Crust as a name of a pizza place funny himself.

He probably would have walked in, had a slice, convinced the owners to donate 10% or more of their pizza to the needy in the neighborhood, blessed everyone there, and gone on his merry way.

He definitely would NOT have shot the place up, blown it up, burned a cross in front of it, or pulled the owners out and burned them at the stake for heresy, like, well, you know who you are.

On topic: Now I HAVE to see the show. :)

Burnt, brown-toasted or smoked whatever (including food) is mutagenic and carcinogenic. Like the pizza in the picture. BTW, the current invasion of TV and movie series is all but good.

Jesus replied, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.”

“We have here only five pounds of dough and two blocks of mozzarella,” they answered.

“Bring the dough and cheese here to me,” Jesus said. And he directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the dough and the cheese and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and kneaded the dough. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples sprinkled cheese on top. They all baked and were satisfied.

The number of those who ordered Cheesus Crust with Uber Eats app was about five thousand men, besides women and children.

I think I’ve settled on Paramount+ and Discovery+ being the two streaming services I really need. Apple+ is too mediocre
Each to their own. I feel the opposite. Yes there have been one or two duds, but Apple TV+ generally seems to be going for quality over quantity. I've found I've enjoyed more shows on Apple than I have on any other streaming service over the last couple of years.

Love 'Servant', enjoyed 'See' and 'For All Mankind'. Just getting into 'Ted Lasso' and the Billie Eilish documentary was worth a watch. Only show I really didn't think lived up to the hype was 'The Morning Show'.

You made me go search for a "did you bring enough for everyone"-meme; this one was my favourite:

(That face will probably give me nightmares.)
I’m not talking about pizza. I knew some people wouldn’t understand. Look at all the Apple TV content. It appeals to very few people beyond the 50 states. Frankly most of it is US rubbish and this promotion just highlights how stupid it is and how little Apple cares. Most streaming services cater to their international audiences. Apple used to be globally friendly.

Yeah, well, then you basically just wrote something that was out of context and only worked in reference to stuff going on in your own head.

To be fair to Apple, it's rather that Apple TV doesn't appeal to most people. The content isn't any more non-international than anything else. Outside the US people are used to watching tv produced for lots of different regions, and don't need material tailored specifically to what they see outside their kitchen window.
