Apple Passwords

When I have to reset a password for one of my logins I reset my password and click update password on the pop up password window but when I go to log in to the same website with my new password I just reset the old password from Apple Passwords still use my old password I find annoying is there a way to stop this happening ?

Can you not just delete the old password?

Sometimes Passwords app (or any password manager) will get a duplicate entry. You just need to open the app and manage your logins, delete it like @kitKAC said.

I found the problem in settings I had passwords for Firefox which was not the same as Safari
