Yesterday was my first time using Apple Pay, but it wasn't as easy as expected. Apple Pay is using my card which is on file with iTunes. It's a MasterCard Debit/Credit card. When I used it yesterday at Walgreens it goes through as a debit card and I still need to enter my pin on their touch screen screen.

Is there any way of changing the card so it's used as a credit card with Apple Pay? When I use the card out in the community they always ask me do I want to run it through as a debit or credit card. There's really no use using ApplePay if I have to enter a pin. For me it's not just about security, but ease of use.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

Tell the clerk you want to run it through as credit (not debit). You may have to select credit (or they will do it). It is the same as if you use the actual card -- you need to tell them.

Even with a credit card though (Apple Pay or not), you may have to sign -- depending on the amount of the purchase.
