Apple Pay cash doesn’t work on iPhone X but does on iPad

Tried to pay my friend today with Apple Cash via my iPhone X. It authenticated my face, tried processing, then failed and gave me a “Services unavailable” error message.

So I unlocked my iPad, authenticated my fingerprint, and sent the payment no problem. Has this occurred to anyone else? Anyone get Apple Pay cash to work with the X?

Not to hijack your thread...but situation for me is saying that in iMessages when I go to send money to someone it says I need to be signed in with the same accounts in iMessage and iCloud...it gives me an option to go to settings and sign in...guess what...it shows I am already signed in with the same account in both iCloud and iMessages...been on the phone for two hours with Apple trying to figure this one out. Anyone else have a similar situation?

Also happened to me today. Works fine on my iPad Pro but can’t be set up on my 6S because “services unavailable”

I did an encrypted backup to iTunes then Restore to the backup.
Solved the problem for me.
