I expect wide adoption by retailers to begin by early next year. It's going to take a few months for them to realize that the banks are now charging them for the fraudulent cards that are swiped on their systems. When they do, they'll want to upgrade asap. I'd guess that the first of those bills are just being sent out now.

I bought my iPhone 6 at introduction with using Apple Pay in mind. One of these days I am actually going to use it!

I've used mine at Winn Dixie, Walgreens and Panera Bread, and I've found some mom and pops that weren't even aware that they had it! I've surprised a couple of cashiers at a local health food store when I used it to pay. It's funny when the cashier asks if you just did that with your phone!

Speaking of mom and pops, many of them are using Square D, and there's a new reader that's back ordered which will accept Apple Pay. Just need to be patient.

It's mainly a matter of convenience. I'd rather not pay interest on a credit card. I don't want to deal with numerous bank accounts. I'm happy with the financial terms of my home bank where I have a debit card; I'd just like it more if they'd instituted ApplePay. I currently use ApplePay occasionally with my current credit card, but that institution provides plenty of financial safeguards already. My debit card is much less secure; ApplePay with that card would make up for that.

So pay your balance in full before the due date. I use exclusively credit cards for purchases and have never paid a dime in interest. Also currently sitting on enough Chase UR points for a free flight to literally anywhere in the world thanks to my credit card.

My credit union has been on the list since September 2015, and yet when I call they say they are not accepting it yet. Why add them to the list if they're not working yet?
