Apple Pay May Launch in the Netherlands and Poland Later This Year

If this is true: finally!!! Been waiting for this from day one. I think Apple Pay has incredible potential here in the Netherlands. And I look forward to be one of the first 'showing off' to the cashiers.

I've used Apple Pay a couple of times in NL ;-). Yes the cashiers look surprised when you're able to pay by just holding your Apple Watch close to the terminal.

B.T.W. There is currently a way to activate a non-NL boon prepaid MasterCard on your iPhone/Apple Watch. Of course it'll be much more useful when it is directly linked to your bank account, like the regular Maestro debit cards for NL bank accounts.

I've tried Boon, but stumbled upon some issue with the debit card I'm using: apparently mine - or in fact any debit card doesn't work with it, only credit cards. At least, from what I've understood.

But doesn't matter. If the rumors are true, I'll just hold out for a little bit longer until Apple Pay is finally here.
