Hi there, I have a new iPhone 8 Plus and Apple Pay isn't working on it properly. All my cards are authorised and the phone accepts my finger print, however the phone and card reader don't seem to connect. I've tried: restarting the phone, taking off the case, using a different card (I've tried three with different banks), using different card readers in different retailers. A few days ago, it eventually worked after a very long delay. However today I couldn't get it to work at all. Any help would be appreciated. I am running iOS 11.2.6 and my phone has recently been set up as a new phone (a few weeks ago) when I had a different iPhone (also an 8 Plus but I returned it due to unrelated issues).
