Apple today sent out emails letting customers know about the latest Apple Pay promotion, which offers discounts for SONIC, ParkWhiz, and HotelTonight.

From now until August 4, customers can get a free SONIC cheeseburger, 10 percent off three parking reservations with ParkWhiz, and 10 percent off hotel reservations with HotelTonight.

To get the SONIC deal, customers must be logged into their MySonic account, and the free cheeseburger will become available in a future order after any SONIC purchase. For ParkWhiz, customers will need to use the promo code APPLEPAY10 when checking out, and for HotelTonight, customers will need to use promo code APPLEPAYHT when reserving a room. For all of these deals, Apple Pay must be used as a payment method.

This is great. Keep ‘em coming…like, please, launch a handful of new ones each month. My Amex Offers are weaker than ever.
Really? Ive been using about 4 to 6 offers per month with Amex. Double points, Amazon credits, HBO, Best Buy, Zenni, and Target deals. I’ve been having to check multiple times a month cause they keep adding stuff and not telling me.

Which AMEX do you have? I have Blue Cash, and the offers are consistently strong, to the point that I don't see any value in adding Apple Pay. For example, I usually get at least $50 back on a hotel stay.
Adding Apple Pay should not change any of that for you. Apple Pay is just adding your card to the wallet and using it via NFC to make the payment. It tokenizes the transaction making it more secure. The purchase credit should still come from AmEx. I see my card credits for the cards I have loaded in Apple Pay.

In all the years I have been using Apple Pay, the times I have had an issue with my card info is physically using the card when traveling or handing it to someone to process a transaction for say food. I have never had an issue if I use Apple Pay to pay for things.

Exactly. My default Apple Pay card is AMEX. I wonder if people confuse Apple Pay and Apple Card.

That's what I think some are doing. If they drop AMEX, then they must be using something else, such as Apple Card.

I don't see enough value in either one, but that's me. For example, it's no hassle to carry my MasterCard and AMEX, especially when many places don't accept Apple Pay.

Man, have been to the states a handful of times but have never remembered to go to Sonic and see what the fuss is about. I can remember watching the Simple life and Paris and Nicole working there but like, wondering if it’s anything to write home about or resembles another McDonald’s or Burger King?

I like sonic better than most fast food. I wouldn’t make a pilgrimage for it, but its pretty good.

I've grown up with several Sonic restaurants in my area.
Food-wise, they're nothing special! You can expect the typical burger, chicken tender, or hotdog;
however, I do go to Sonic for the drinks and the awesome "pellet" ice.
Sonic does a "Happy Hour" where you can get 1/2 priced drinks from 2-4PM;
but since Sonic launched their app in 2014, you can now get 1/2 priced drinks ANYTIME when you order with the app!
You can also use the drive-thru or pull into a parking bay to order/eat. That's about all I know about Sonic! Hope this helped!
