Panera is owned by the same company that owns Peet's Coffee, and while Panera isn't at Peet's level, I find it to be better than Starbuck's.
How can a person conceivably dislike something free for 4 months? Quit trolling. To me anyway, this free deal doesn’t seem like a good deal.
Appreciate you mentioning this. I doubt it’s going to change one of my loves—cold brew—but it’s at least a good reminder to minimize.Get the the scientific facts. Besides being an addictive drug, coffee is highly oxidizing because it has a built-in oxygen peroxide generator (as tea as well and wine). It has also acrylamide (neurocarcinogen) due to high temperatures. In summary, it is mutagenic and carcinogenic, as anything smoked (including smoke itself) or burnt, including food. Get the facts!
I believe everything in moderation is a motto to live by. Regarding coffee, studies have also shown it reduces the risk of many forms of cancer.Appreciate you mentioning this. I doubt it’s going to change one of my loves—cold brew—but it’s at least a good reminder to minimize.
Why is this a great "free" deal? Maybe you missed it in the original article, but there are strings attached. One has to cancel beyond the "free" period if they don't want to pay the $8.99/mo subscription. That to me ratchets down the level of how great the deal is. And while I like Panera, since lockdown I haven't been there once, even though there are two in my area that are very close. How can a person conceivably dislike something free for 4 months? I just signed up for it and am very appreciative of the offer! They need the business and cross sales. Going tomorrow morning!
Seems like there are often some studies of one sort or another with some touting some negative effects and others positive effects. There appears to be a collection of facts saying a variety of things.Get the the scientific facts. We have a different way of looking at this as my expectation of free, is free with no strings.Having strings attached means there are conditions, restrictions, or obligations that need to be met before you can get your free coffee, hot tea, or iced coffee. There's no such requirement, therefore there are zero strings attached.
Having to cancel in or before 4 months to avoid paying the regular $8.99/mo subscription fee is not considered strings. And as I stated earlier, it takes less than 30 seconds to cancel through the app. I should know, I've already done it once before.
Afraid you might forget? Set a reminder to cancel on your iPhone a day or two or even 1 week before the free offer expires.
sad brew coffeeItalian here. So if espresso and cappuccino are excluded, what is actually included?
