and don't even talk about security, if someone manages to get money of my card
I do not pay, the Banks do.

Only if it's a credit card then the bank pays, because in that case they are lending you the money which under normal circumstances you have to pay back at a later time. If it's a debit card, then the money is immediately pulled right out of your own bank account and you will have to struggle with your bank's customer service to recover the money that was previously stolen from you.

Also, you could use apple pay as a backup. If your card details were ever compromised and the bank had to disable it, Apple Pay continues to work since it uses a different "card" number (the so-called token). That did save me a couple of times last year.

Not really needed, if one owns an AppleWatch/LTE I can understand it just a little, you could
pay with it without carrying anything else but that's it, I am as fast with my debit/credit card
as Apple Pay, and don't even talk about security, if someone manages to get money of my card

Contactless payment is ubiquitous in the Netherlands, hell, there were places you could not even
pay with cash anymore, like for instance the local government, but they now need to accept it
again.
Why need another party which needs a part of the pie.

For the added level of security! I’d much rather have the banks remove all of their own initiatives including the chip on the card and switch to Apple Pay for the added level of security. The current systems the bank employ are just waaay to security prone!

Apple is not doing Apple Pay for free as far as I am aware, so I’d rather blame Apple and the card companies (VISA, Maestro, etc), not banks, for failing to come to an agreement. On top of that Apple probably didn’t even care about markets like Chech republic, Kazakhstan, Poland etc too much in the first place to make a compelling pitch. It’s hard to blame the banks if every card terminal and every bank supports contactless payments but Apple Pay is still unavailable.
Apple Pay is wider available in Poland than Google Pay.

From what perspective? because on the merchants' end both Google Pay and Apple Pay should be just as widely accepted as each other since both of them use NFC contactless readers (the same readers previously used for contactless cards), so every merchant that can accept one of them can also already accept the other even if they don't specifically advertise it (i.e., if you see more merchants displaying Google Pay logos only, that doesn't mean they can't accept Apple Pay, which actually they all can). From a customer perspective, however, it might be the case that more people are using Google Pay that Apple Pay simply because more people in Poland own android devices than Apple devices and that would explain why more merchants there might want to prominently advertise Google Pay while not displaying any Apple Pay logos at their location even though they actually can accept both.

You seem to have knowledge but at the same time you produced such a lengthy worthless response.

Apple Pay is wider available in Poland than Google Pay, because banks that accept Apple Pay have much more clients.

The two most popular banks in Poland accept only Apple Pay, and not Google Pay. And those banks are reaaaaaaly big:

Those medium-sized banks are roughly similarly equipped with Apple Pay/Google Pay.

And even though here is more Android devices, Apple Pay crashed Google Pay and partially own-HCE-NFC-based payments:

Oh ok, thanks for the explanation. It's just that when you first said simply that Apple Pay is more widely available in Poland it was kind of vague, so I thought you might be talking about acceptance by stores. Now that you're explaining that it's because more banks support Apple Pay than google pay and some of the banks only supporting Apple Pay happen to be the largest in the country, it makes sense. Obviously a lot more people have access to Apple Pay in Poland.

And when it comes to acceptance, that's a nice article:

Now that, in your pictures, is a great example of something that might never be seen in Mexico (or other emerging countries). Because Mexico is one of the most corrupted countries in the world and its people some of the most dishonest, there seems to be an unwritten rule that all credit and debit card payments must be processed by a person. Therefore, all vending machines, self service kiosks, parking lot payment machines and any other self service in the country (I've never seen a self service car wash in Mexico, though) are cash only and will probably remain so for a long time (meaning decades at least).

I can take more pictures of car washes if you like ^^
