So, I believe most of us were under the impression that when shops update to use the latest NFC software they'll recognise authenticated devices and won't impose a transaction limit, right? Well, you'd think Natwest would know what they're talking about, but here's a screenshot from their app's help page for Apple Pay:

See that bit at the bottom? No mention of "at some retailers". Personally, I was assuming they wouldn't be allowed to use the Apple Pay logo unless they were using the latest software and weren't imposing the limit, but this seems to suggest otherwise.
