It would be awesome if the next pencil wouldn’t require any batteries!

Anything would be an improvement IMO. Really awkward system on the current Apple Pencil with the plug on the end. I had to remove my iPad from its case to plug it in to pair. Have only had the pencil for a week, but I’ll be amazed if I haven’t lost the tiny cap or female adapter before Christmas.

Lots of cheap accessories are available to prevent loss of items are available. If you have the money to spend on these devices, take a little responsibility.

Maybe. I wouldn’t want to lay it on a pad though. I’d want a charging pencil cup for my desk. But it seems wasteful to have a charging cup just for the pencil. Maybe a little pencil stand? I don’t know.

Coming from battery-less Wacom pens it’s very irritating having to think about charging.

I find that kind of insulting. If these solutions are so inexpensive, why doesn't Apple include them? Since I have "so much money", I would have paid a few bucks more if that's what was required. I have a house full of Apple products, got my first Apple ][ in 1978 and my first Mac in 1985. While I'm very happy with the performance of the Apple Pencil, I think the physical connectivity falls short of Apple's otherwise high design standards.

You’re right to feel insulted. That was an uncalled for cheap shot that doesn’t address the poor design.

That’s the typical, “blame the customer” approach that is very popular in Apple land... which Apple itself promotes.

Well I wouldn't go so far as to say that. I just think they could have designed a better system for connecting/charging the pencil. Can't think of any other Apple product with tiny loose parts that are essential to its operation.
Well, Apple’s first response when faced with an accusation of a defect is to blame the user. Each and every time.
