After we pair the Pencil with the iPad Pro 9.7, if we turn the Bluetooth offline from that iPad, do we need to pair it again? I am asking this for the following reasons:

- I don't want to pair everytime I use it, but I don't want also to leave Bluetooth on, since it wastes battery. Of course it's easier to turn it on rather than pairing the Pencil, as in it takes only a second to do it.

I noticed after turning it off and on after a few seconds that the Pencil was still paired. The question is: since I don't ever turn this iPad off (only close the cover, for the standby mode) can I turn the Bluetooth off and expect for it to remain paired, or not? Or I need to leave it on 24/7 to avoid this, even if it happens only once a week, for example?

You have to re-pair the pencil every time. Personally I leave Bluetooth on and I've not seen any affect on my battery life - the pencil goes to sleep after a while anyway (though less so for me as it's being carried around in my bag a lot and probably thinks I'm playing with it).

From my personal experience, leaving bluetooth on avoids pairing forever, unless you restart iOS somehow, or after days (not sure how many) something changes. I'll leave it that way, then.
