Out of curiosity I thought I would try the Apple Pencil on this old Sony micro PC i had laying around. To my surprise, it works. It even recognized and converted my handwritten text. This PC is 10 year old tech!

Probably because it uses a resistive touch screen. I also used my Pencil on Nintendo DS, works like a charm.

On my father's Lumia 820 it worked too (with Lumia 640 not!), but only as "pointer" so no pressure-sensitivity and other features from Apple Pencil.
