If you're one of the lucky few that was able to purchase an Apple Pencil, you'll have realized that this thing needs some kind of protection when leaving the house with it.

For now, the only one that's been mentioned in other threads is this:
https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/johnny-the-pencil-case#/

However, it's not available until January, and even that timeframe isn't certain. Not to mention the steep price tag.

I'm hoping we can use this thread to pool other ideas. Even a nice travel toothbrush holder might work. Let's list anything with potential!

I just put it in the pencil holder in the front pocket of my backpack. I've never in my life used that feature of a backpack before (I'm not usually trying to protect a regular pencil...), but it works great for the Apple Pencil!

Apple's slow roll out on the pencil has delayed, or in some cases, ended development of accessory items; most notably the crowd-funded ones. The "Johnny", an Indiegogo project never made its funding goal. Then there was the Alum Case which likewise never saw the light of day.

Like hungrypenguin, I suspect we'll have to get creative.:D

I use the pencil pouch in my backpack right now... but I would really like a hard case that specifically doesn't allow any pressure to be applied to the tip. A regular pencil box won't do it because the Pencil can shake around inside it and slam against the tip.

It would also be coool if someone came out with a holder that was also a charger!

I don't get it until July, but I ordered the PenSe Apple Pencil holder on Indiegogo for my Apple Pencil. Right now I use the loop on my Zoogue Genius Exec Case to hold it when Mobile and naked at home on my desk. I like the PenSe because it stores the charging adapter and the cap. Although I found other alternatives on Amazon for now.
